Not correct.

Let's get things clear.

"Hacked digital" is a confusing term.

There are 3 ways you can have games on your PS4:

1. You create a PSN account using your very own email, buy gift cards to top up those those accounts, purchase the games on the PlayStation store, and download. This method often cost more than buying CDs but if you have the resources and want all access, this is the way to go.

2. Account installation (offline/online only/full account): this is remix version of number one above for those who want to make a profit (or reduce cost by sharing with friends). White people call it game sharing. Basically you do same thing in number 1 but install on different consoles, sharing the access (offline, online only, full account). There is nothing wrong with this method if you do it amongst friends (or honest sellers) and stick to the rules.
More importantly, this second method is not cheap either as you spend same money buying officially from ps store and downloading.
The offline version of this method is often confused with jailbreak because both are not allowed to go online but they are different.

NOTE: There is a criminal angle to this method which I myself am just learning. Some people steal accounts from people who paid money for the games in it and sell for cheap. Don't ask me how they steal such account as I don't know. Problem is, after a criminal buys or offers to sell stolen FIFA 21 account for 9k (free download inclusive ), the greed in us stirs, but we forget it is a thief that is offering. He gives us the access and steals it back. Who you go report to? Sony?

3. Jailbreak: this is the 3rd method that uses illegal software to copy games to consoles. Sony frowns on this and can ban your console permanently if they discover. This is cheap simply because the seller did not buy the games from ps store originally. This is strictly offline. I have never done this since I started playing games.

If you get the 2nd method from a responsible person, it can last you for years (forever even).

I've always argued CDs are cheaper in the long run as you can sell or swap after you are done.

Brute fired me back then when I made the above argument, promising to render all of us selling and swapping CDs useless with his incredibly cheap price. He had staunch supporters too who joined in attacking my person and business. Strange how they are unusually quiet these days.
