THE Federal Government, yesterday, mandated companies in Nigeria to employ qualified Nigerian graduates understudying for expatriates, or face sanctions.

A statement by the Chairman of the Special Ministerial Task Force on Monitoring and Enforcement of Nigerian Expatriate Business Permit and Expatriate Quota Administration, Mr. Bola Ilori, said, in Osogbo, Osun State, after it met with representatives of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigeria Labour Congress, Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Society of Engineers, other professional bodies and officials of the Ministry of Interior.

Ilori, at the end of the meeting, told companies to submit the details of Nigerians understudying expatriates, to verify their sincerity or otherwise to the policy, or face heavy sanctions from the Federal Government.

He said: “Every company must submit the details of Nigerians understudying expatriates in their organisations. They must submit the Tax Identification Number, National Identity Number of each Nigerian understudying expatriate in their companies.

“We have discovered that some of the companies are not sincere, they just want to keep renewing the permits of their expatriates at the detriment of Nigerians. We want to know whether they are circumventing the policy or adhere to it.

“The problem is that some of these companies are either not employing Nigerians at all or using school certificate holders to be understudying expatriates who are managers. How can a school certificate holder understudy a manager?

“What they are aiming at is that when the time comes for the expatriates to exit, the companies will say those understudying the expatriates do not have the capacity to become managers and you will agree with them. What that means is that Nigerians will not get to such positions and the expatriates will be there forever.

“But they do that deliberately to defeat the purpose of the Federal Government’s policy.”
Ilori maintained that the task force would ensure that Nigerians were no longer denied the opportunities to work in companies in the country by foreigners and their collaborators.

THE Federal Government, yesterday, mandated companies in Nigeria to employ qualified Nigerian graduates understudying for expatriates, or face sanctions.

Charity begins at home.

He that comes to equity must come with clean hands.

A slight headache, they’ve all run to Europe, America and UAE, after budgeting billions for Aso Rock clinic with good Nigerian doctors and nurses.
Their children aren’t in Nigerian schools, they are all outside even to study common Business administration course.

Their shopping for daily needs is in UAE and not Nigerian stores.

Please FG, sanction yourself on these and make amendments before these expatriate companies can take you serious and not think it is your usual barking

See who is talking? After promising 3M jobs annually but ended rendering more than 17M Nigerians unemployed in 5year? Was that part of the MOU you signed with these companies?

So it is now to force expatriate companies to employ your people but the children of the elites are secretly being employed in choice government agencies or establishments?

Assuming things like this have been enforced all these decades,
Our darling nation would have been the better for it.

We have all the necessary needed manpower in this country.
Well, rather late than never.
Nigeria will be great in our lifetime.

God bless our darling Daddy President Muhammadu Buhari and his amiable Vice president Prof Yemi Osinbajo for all they are doing to make this once battered and looted nation work again.

God bless Nigeria

This is one of the ways Nigerian youths are shortchanged. Some of these companies keep bringing it their citizen to work here when we have man powers.

Imagine China borrows us money and fools us to handles the project in which they use their citizen to execute them. That's how they own up the country if we don't wise up.
Words of a wise man.

But l don't blame them l blame the labour union that do collect bribe from those companies.
MIKANO has almost 5000 workers and no union imagine that.

Na today this thing start.

DANGOTE DEY DO HIM OWN without any federal law checking or controlling his actions.

Left for Coronavirus diseases which forced the indians to leave Nigeria, Dangote smuggled many indians to work in his factory in defiant of LOCAL CONTENT LAWS.

Go to Kano state and see many Lebanese and Syrian doing jobs meant for Nigerians.

Empty threats from a delusional govt. Instead of upping the skills of the people via education they are issuing stupîd orders to employers.

Useless and clueless government, isn’t that supposed to be one of the criteria or condition given to them before establishment. Poor unfortunate leaders. How about maltreatment after being employed? When the time is ripe, all will correct itself
