We took a drive through Abba, Awkuzu, Nteje and up to Umuleri where the massive Anambra airport is being constructed. The Anambra airport has the longest runway in Nigeria at the moment, of course it's still under construction. The construction began in April 11th 2017, it will be an international cargo and local passenger airport. It is being built on a massive 1500-hectare expansive land in Ifite - Umuleri and it has room for future expansion.

Anambra State is said to carry a loan burden of about #200bn.

Is this where it was all expended cause there's no single capital project started and completed by this administration despite the good background it got from the previous administration.

Please don't mention 10km bridges as capital projects or road patches. It might be a big deal in other states but definitely not in Anambra not after Ngige and Obi made them gifts to communities

Do you have a link for the N200bn you quoted? Debt is never a problem, not being able to pay your debt is the problem. Many rich countries are heavily indebted. Most Asian tigers started out with huge debts and still do to this day.

Anambara is the least indebted state in the south east and probably one of the least in the whole country. Nothing like 200billion debt

debt is a problem when I will be taxed for the air I breathe to pay back loan which one fool embezzled. How can you compare a sincere government with a governor whose sole concern is drinking and partying

Tell me singular use of those debts that is worth it or do you just compare two unrelated issues. Asian tigers have lots of things to show for their debt, what does Anambra State have. Buhari will borrow money and it's a problem but your governor borrows money then you will remember Asian tigers.

No let me vex

My concern is the location of the project. That area is den of robbers and kidnappers. Airport roads are usually highly secured but I doubt if the security of that airport road will be ok. People coming from the airport will be robbed big time along that axis. Going to onitsha, I will take Asaba airport than that Anambra airport because of close proximity.

The location is not a problem. The road taken in the video is not the only road to the airport. The main one is a 3-lane dual carriage express that bursts the Onitsha-Enugu expressway. There's also another road that will burst 33 that will make it nearer for people coming from Onitsha.

That's why it's surprising to see N200b as mentioned by the other poster.

You can't backup your claim and you want someone else to do it for you. Learn to stop throwing accusations and fake news around without proof. A simple google search and the DMO website grin
