I see the positive side of it because I'm a digital marketer. Adding a WhatsApp placement on the ad manager will be an added advantage to Facebook marketers. You can't be afraid of data when you use Facebook and Instagram own by the parent company of WhatsApp na the same data you gave them just that Facebook decide to make use of over 1 billion people asset. If you are Mark will you ignore making money from your assets? If you feel comfortable seeing ads on gmail you have no reason to complain if you start seeing ads on WhatsApp. |

Regulate social media before it takes your government. Now the government of every country should influence the terms and conditions available to their countries otherwise they won’t be allowed. Facebook isn’t popular in Russia. I am not sure they use it. Remember the Cambridge saga during the last election. If not regulated this social media will work with politicians to influence elections with the data they have. It’s clear, they will rule the world. For someone like Merkel to raise concerns means loads. |

Yes Signal is growing about 2000%, i downloaded already and its okay, just in case WhatsApp is trying to act funny. This companies are selling people data, and using algorithm to monitor people, and they are trying to study people completely, so they can predict them, control them, for example the phone microphones are always listening to conversation, and its always monitoring ones location. malcom1X: |

Like somebody once said any product or service that is free to use has one way or the other of either selling the users data or using it for his own gains(not even almighty Google is left out). As a Nigerian I'm more concerned about how safe is my NIN on Nimc database than that of my data with whatsap. |

Its a good idea, i installed already, but i may need to send invite to all my contacts, but i don't want to do that yet, although few of my contacts are already on signal. 1) You can time your messages to disappear after a while on signal, 2) you can make both voice and video calls. 3) You can create groups So Signal has some added advantage of timing how long your message appear, if you want to time it. raybaba97: |
