It's sad that we will helplessly agree to terms we are aware violates data protection laws.

Our only luck is that we have MURIC who will compel our darling daddy to sanction facebok and Adamu Garba that will sue Whatsapp to stop this fvckery.
Mark Zuckerberg will finally know that Nigerians are no walk-overs.

Till then....privacy is key; signalize your telegrams.
These are some of d things minister of communication Patanmi is supposed to be pursuing but he is more obsessed with fire by force NIN/sim synchronisation in d midst of covid19 upsurge

Whatsapp should continue with their useless policies!

Telegram gains 25 million new users in the last 72 hours — These new users came from across the globe – 38% from Asia, 27% from Europe, 21% from Latin America and 8% from MENA.

Is this promotion trend for signal?? What type of useless thread is this?? Telegram that's far better than signal you mentioned a few...
All the bad things of Whatsapp you listed them with little or no say on the good ones.

Facebook have been in existence have you ever been compromised or have government come after you??

Very useless thread
someone will read and not understand...rather than seeking enlightenment will begin to yell like.....

I see the positive side of it because I'm a digital marketer.

Adding a WhatsApp placement on the ad manager will be an added advantage to Facebook marketers.

You can't be afraid of data when you use Facebook and Instagram own by the parent company of WhatsApp na the same data you gave them just that Facebook decide to make use of over 1 billion people asset.

If you are Mark will you ignore making money from your assets?
If you feel comfortable seeing ads on gmail you have no reason to complain if you start seeing ads on WhatsApp.

new world order and mass mind control is here!

whatassap was the only encrypted means of communication but its over now...control has been the name of the game and the only person stopping them was Trump and if they can silence him now who are we? people joined hands to fight him not knowing he was fighting for all of us, saying NO to them and standing in the way of their agenda.

SIGNAL all the way! what about GB whatsapp and FM whatsapp?

Meanwhile, if you are in the US and need to file your tax, kindly contact me and you can get up to $6,000 Refund advance cheque

Regulate social media before it takes your government. Now the government of every country should influence the terms and conditions available to their countries otherwise they won’t be allowed. Facebook isn’t popular in Russia. I am not sure they use it. Remember the Cambridge saga during the last election. If not regulated this social media will work with politicians to influence elections with the data they have. It’s clear, they will rule the world. For someone like Merkel to raise concerns means loads.

Me too... The way Nigerians talk about privacy as if they are relevant to the world. That oyibo woman finish Nigerians wella. The current Nigerian does not add any value to the world. Our privacy dont matter, in fact Facebook is broadcasting this because, of some other countries not country like Nigeria. They have been taking our data since from different apps, so what is the big deal about whatsapp taking our data too. Let us concentrate on how to develop the country or tear it into pieces for collective development. For now, our privacy dont matter, we dont manufacture anything so we no get choice. Nonesense and Ingredients
Speak for yourself only.
We matter to the world. Nigeria is the biggest market in Africa for american and european IT products! We consume their products with our hard earn money and not free of charge. You think mark visit to Nigeria and romance with Nigeria Government is because he loves you? Hell no. He came protecting his business.

Yes Signal is growing about 2000%, i downloaded already and its okay, just in case WhatsApp is trying to act funny.

This companies are selling people data, and using algorithm to monitor people, and they are trying to study people completely, so they can predict them, control them, for example the phone microphones are always listening to conversation, and its always monitoring ones location.

Like somebody once said any product or service that is free to use has one way or the other of either selling the users data or using it for his own gains(not even almighty Google is left out). As a Nigerian I'm more concerned about how safe is my NIN on Nimc database than that of my data with whatsap.

Its a good idea, i installed already, but i may need to send invite to all my contacts, but i don't want to do that yet, although few of my contacts are already on signal.

1) You can time your messages to disappear after a while on signal,
2) you can make both voice and video calls.
3) You can create groups

So Signal has some added advantage of timing how long your message appear, if you want to time it.

Thank u op for my affirmation
Like I once posted
M y take on the whatsapp issue
Actually is due to the info out there about whatapp fully integrated to facebook and facebook will soon start ads placement on what App, thereby monetizing the hell out of what App. Imagine using what app or facebook seeing an ad about a product u just chatted with a friend ( you will be like WTF) that seo / algorithm to the core.. That tells u that the end to end enscription chatting is actually false.now I think the signal app is more better than telegram and it same end to end enscription as what app (this is because what app creator is the part owner and creator of the signal app- Brian acton). and take note the new owners of what app sells your data to the highest bidder( check Cambridge analytical Zuckerberg scandal) in which it was used(or/ discovered) in the voters fraud during trump USA 2016 election.
There are lots I can reveal to u but let me stop here, I hope u grab what I meant as your opinion will be needed shallom
Please, I'll like to know more. Mail me @ pickieox2@gmail.com or you can equally send me a link or PDF to that effect. I'll forever be in your debt for this gesture.

Thanks in anticipation smiley smiley smiley
