komekn:seems you don't know how This insurgency War works well I believe you do... So I don't see why you'll just come to the conclusion that those infidels are Holding Nigeria ransom With it's HARDENED soilders,I don't know but are you trying to say Or military is weak? Insurgency war It's not all about weapons but High moral,Good tactics. I've said it before. Some people here claimed to win this war we'll need like 100s of AFV,50 Wingloong Well Since January 3 with only Guntrucks, and MRAPs we've F**ked ISWAP badly and the battle is still on ISWAP is on the run. According to you what Nigeria soilders hasn't done in years Chadians did it in days. We'll now say what chadians did in Days Nigeria military did twice in 10 days. W |

As far as it goes, I will keep stating my truth here. Any Nigerian Army zombie who is pained, can go stand in front of a bullet from an iswap gun. A Nigerian soldier who died fighting iswap is a senseless human. Such a human died, fighting something he doesn't even understand. They sent you to a location, then you got shot in the head. End of you. And this one cycle, keeps playing out. |

Toju200:If l was to describe the Nigerian military some of the words I would not use are ; Highly professional, highly disciplined, modern and technologically superior, very effective, infrastructurally competent with the best up to date fit for purpose modern cutting edge equipment in Africa. I would also not say they are tactically astute with superior battlefield field management and strategy. I am making comparison with African nations by GDP. Do you know why the Isreali Army is feared by all the Arab nations. Because they don't make noise with rhetoric, they take an eye for a tooth. Actions speak louder than word's. |

komekn:What story did you want ? What did the superior did to Warren his killing, even in civil society except for self defense ! He want AWOL during field duties and am was purnished, three month salary or so I can't say precisely. After the three month the salary was not paid and he asked for three days off to travel to HQ to rectify it, since the three months was long due. The CO decline his request several time, reason for a soldier that has gone AWOL before and under probation from the top. To cut the long story shot he shot his CO probably out of frustration. My account on the story might not be 100% right but I can tell you 60 - 70% verified ! |

bidexiii:You just regurgitating the official story. We will never know the real story though. The point is that no one wakes up one day and shoot his superior without cause or with such simple or stupid excuse stated officially. The both of them get issue we may never know about. Knowing how wicked people in authority can be to their surbordinates especially in the army,I'll be naive to believe the official story of "ordinary pass issuance" I repeat , no one wakes up one day and shoot his superior while jubilating about it if it wasn't due to an hopeless situation. It's synonymous to commiting suicide because the guy knows he's dead as well |

Mohammed Kudu killed a 12 year old Nigerian with a promising future, and he just got handed a petty 3 years sentence..Tells you everything you need to know. Why isn't Mohammed going to the stakes,so he gets fired at, same way Maduabuchi would be fired at? Well, no sympathy for a Nigerian soldier, irrespective of his tribe. Maduabuchi would shoot at unarmed Nigerians, if given the orders to perpetrate such evil. The moderator who censored my previous post, should tell me the offence I committed. I always pay attention to making sure I'm never found wanting by the rules of nairaland, knowing that I'm stating things many people here wouldn't like. So, moderator, tell me the rule this post runs contrary to. Where are the lies in this post? I know many here report my posts. But if my posts are designed in such a manner that they don't go against the rules of nairaland, no moderator would be right to censor my posts. Toju200:It really depends on what you understand by professionalism. But I picked up this definition online to give us some context. Commitment and confidence, responsibility and dependability, honesty and ethics, and appearance and professional presence are central professional characteristics. "The key to quality and efficiency is professionalism" Let me explain further, your own personal experiences, understanding and knowledge will shape your expectations. In this regard I do not expect to see trained combatants, abandoning a Vickers MBT in the face of a hostile engagement few rag tag gun trucks from Boko. The incidents of dereliction of duty and outright cowardice over the years in the NE are too numerous to count. I dont expect to see professional soldiers stripping women naked because they take exception to thier choice of attire. Or decide to shave off the hair amidst horse whipping young men because they choose to have their hair in dread locks. Or decide to drive against the flow of traffic because the military is exempt from traffic laws and run off anybody in their way. Or decide as a means of entertainment to beat up people because they are army officer cadets in training and block the main road. Burning down whole villages because a few militants are alleged or indeed come from that village in the Nigerian Delta. Numerous incidents of the NA visiting murderous mayhem on other security department like the police when in dispute. That's not a professional approach. I will not go into the corruption of the senior brass of the NA over many decades. Or in particular Burutai and his many million $ assets acquired as a public servant. Finally, we saw the professional approach of the NA in shooting at defenceless citizens at Lekki tollgate. The list is literally ENDLESS of deranged murderous violent behaviour and total lack of accountability by the NA. That's not my PERSONAL experience of PROFESSIONALISM. We have very different EXPECTATIONS. Nonetheless, l commend you for your optimism and hero worshiping of the NA, it's really. Misguided patriotism. If you don't address the problem it continues, without admitting our FAILURES we cannot proceed to SUCCESS and VICTORY by wishful thinking. |
