Lol, I knew it. Money shaaa... Why don't we sell the universities sef and share the money. I would have love if govt privatise all universities, and offer loans for students. I am sure many lecturers won't even be university cleaners. |

Nigeria’s problems be like a very popular songs: new every morning and great are her problems everyday. There’s no way one wakes up to a problem-free world, it’s always one problem to chaotic scene and even death stories. Since ASUU forced FG to dip its hand inside the National cake, Non-Academic Staff Union should do the same. We can’t have monkey to work and baboon to chop play out event. |

I knew it. ASUU was not really fighting for the general good of the Nigeria universities. They are just fighting for their palliative to loot and share. Just watch, after all this brouhaha, the Nigeria universities system will remain in a mess. |

The elephant in the room is the fact that government cannot adequately fund universities...and that has been the fact since 2012...when government had not paid N1.5 trillion of the three trillion funding promised to universities in the FG-ASUU agreement of 2009. We run our universities at a loss. We expect our universities to be somehow like the big universities abroad, while we pay fees less than $300 yearly. The problem is not ASUU, NASU, SSANU or even government. The problem is Nigerians who think they can get a Ferrari at the price of a bicycle. The minute we realise we cannot run our universities at a loss...and start allowing things like raised fees for example...then we will end up with some better universities. Yes, my grandfather went to university cheaply...at a time when universities had less than 3000 students, there were only five or six of them, and the budget could cater for them. Now there are millions of students in 70 government owned universites, and the education budget can't even sustain primary schools adequately, talk less of universities. |

I’m not going to go into the controversy. There is no problem with ASUU. I’m not going to go into any debate with anybody. All I know is that we have an understanding on what government would pay ASUU. We believe government would pay.2021- ASUU now believe Federal Government. For almost nine months, you never believed FG...but now, you have become government's mouth piece Wonder shall never end When money is involved , anything is possible

nony43:It baffles one that non academic staff would wake up and want to share the proceed of the labour of ASUU. What were they thinking of when ASUU was on strike deprived of months of salaries while they were enjoying regular salaries? That doesn't make sense. |
