Hello house,

I am thinking of adding a LOE to my application, and here's the reason:

I did a 3 years program abroad, but I finished in 2years + 6months. Since I was ready to return to the country, I sent my passport to the immigration dept to shorten my visa. So, the official expiration date was reviewed.

So, the 3rd year visa page has a stamp tagged "Amended", and on the reverse side of that page, the comment says "the validity of student pass appears on page 5 has been terminated to 29/07/2019. Note: that was the date I left.

So, is the LOE necessary to explain that the amendment was not because I did anything wrong?

Thank you very much.

I understand your concern, but I don't think it's necessary. "Amended" doesn't show you committed a crime. It just means something was changed. If anything, because of the information sharing between countries, they can ask your country of education the reason for the amendment. (Which I still think is far-fetched)
I believe you can go ahead with your application with no fear.

Good morning to you all, kudos to those that has been enlightening us.
Please I will like to know which type of Canada programme/ visa type I can apply for that doesn’t attract the Language test exam, faster processing time, safe and then the step by step of starting processing of Canada visa.

Please note, I have never traveled out of Nigeria, I am a graduate with over 13 years of experience, married with children but would like to first travel alone.
I look forward to all the responses and advice you will be giving me.
God bless us all.
Hi.. The only one I'm aware of that fits into all that you've described is student's visa. You don't needs ielts and it's fast for Nigerians as well. The only downside is that it's very expensive.

Please submit your application ASAP then . That is BEFORE the wedding day . After which you can inform IRCC via webform of your being married and intention to add your spouse to your application. She’ll just do medicals and biometrics. All the best

Good day Canadian family,
Kindly help to confirm if i have done the right thing concerning inability to get reference letter. I intend to submit the following
1. Letter of explanation stating that my company do not issue reference letter, but rather introduction letter to embassy.
2.Notarized Letter of Reference from Supervisor
3. Employee Company ID Card –Applicant
4. Employee Company ID Card –Supervisor
5. Introduction Letter from Company HR
6. Letter of Employment
7. Technical Reassignment Letter
8. Performance Appraisal Letter
9. Sterling Bank Statements of Account (Salary account)

I wanted to submit pay slip. However, the job title has been management trainee for the past three years even though i have been reassigned as an engineer. Also my file is already 3.4Mb

Kindly assist me in confirming the above

Bro you're Heaven sent, what a relief... Meaning I can go ahead with the nysc experience adding that I taught biology with my geophysics bsc. Again from advice's here they said bkaux of the massive rejection from pple claiming points with nysc that I should not mention nysc when I want to claim points with it but I should use just the name of the place which of cause its a secondary school. That I can leave the nysc in my work history but not to go with the experience using to claim points, please I also need clarification on this..

See rejection letter and Initial reference letter

NOC mismatch
pay close attention to paragraph c

a person (lawyer) can be working in the legal department of a Nigerian bank but would not really perform the duties of a lawyer for the bank.

the reference letter u attached would pass quickly for a clerical / administrative personnel than would fit for a lawyer.

i have seen people make this mistake a lot outside here; that is describing themselves as what they studied in school or the department in which they work rather than the actual work they do per se.

e.g
Paul studied mechanical engineering in school
Paul got a job in a drilling company that uses lots of engineering equipment
Paul is posted to the maintenance department of this engineering company
Pauls' actual duties are inventory management in the maintenance department
Paul has worked for 10 years in this role
Paul describes himself as either a mechanical engineer or maintenance engineer
In reality Paul is actually an inventory manager

Sorry I don't know what you should do concerning NYSC, but what you need to provide to prove work experience according to IRCC is here:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html

We have just seen an NOC mismatch rejection....be mindful of your chosen NOC matching your JD.

I would strongly advise you to calmly review page 1 and the associated links.

Good Morning everyone, it's been a long time here... Please, I wish to make an inquiry on behalf of a friend, let's call her Jum. So, Jum is currently employed but wishes to resign before applying for EE process. Can Jum resign & be unemployed while she apply for EE, even though she will be claiming a 3years work experience for the same job role? Jum is still at the preliminary stage of crushing IELTS & ECA in view too. Kindly assist with your guidance as I will be showing her your responses. Thanks all for in anticipation...

Do any of the 9 documents above clearly detail your job description showing a match with your chosen NOC, especially the items in red?

Is there a letter or email from your employer confirming the item in blue?

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits;

The VO is bound to check that the requirements in a and b with regards to work experience below are satisfied.......will he be able to do that from any of the 9 documents?

There is no requirement that someone has to be currently employed to apply for EE. It is up to her whether she wants to resign or not. She needs to make sure she has all the necessary documentation to prove the 3 years work experience though - that is what is important to IRCC.

It is not required for him to evaluate his certificate(s) if you are the PA. However, most people applying will have their spouse evaluate for extra points - every (legitimate) point counts in this journey!

Thank you. We plan on claiming points for him too, so we'll have to evaluate
