This government has reduced Army to mere boy's scout using corruption to deter their legacies...

I will rather remember innocent armless citizens both in the East , South South and middle belt of this country killed by the Nigerian Army than remember a general killed by terrorists ....

May God revive the Army .....many are suffering as Officers there

Such a sad story, but i seem to get confused at some point when the soldier keeps mentioning chopper, is he referring to the C130 as a chopper? Or he flew in an helicopter.

Despite the fact that corruption is greatly affecting the Nigerian army, it is still one to be proud of. Whether the saboteurs like it or not, one day and very soon the war against Boko Haram will be won. May God continue to protect and bless the Nigerian Armed forces.

Thank you for giving your lives.

Stop deceiving your self... There's no war that's ending... Lets stop painting black white and face the reality on ground... What you call Boko haram they call business associate... what you call war they call market ground... Keep wasting your time waiting for one war to end...

President Muhammadu Buhari approved $1 billion for the purchase of military hardware for the use of the nigerian Armed Forces

Our soldiers need all the support they can get to end this evil that the devilish party bestowed on our nation before they left.

We will win this war as a nation.

God bless our gallant soldiers as they lay their lives on the line for peace to reign in our darling nation.

My concern is how you guys treat the civilians. The government armed you guys to do their bidding, nothing more, nothing less.

Re: Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Soldier Pens Memorable Tribute by VonSmallhausen: 2:56pm On Jan 13, 2021
This is one area where the Nigerian Armed Forces fail woefully!!
The failure to tell their stories of heroism loud enough. In most of the leading armed forces of the World, the acts of bravery that lead to medal awards etc. are published widely and communicated loudly.
This serves to ginger the other service men, and reaffirm to them that their acts of heroism are not forgotten by the Forces and the grateful population. In addition, it serves as an example to the rest of the population, that their nation is worth sacrificing for, and will go a long way in helping to cement this loose alliance of ethnic groups we are struggling to tie into a Nation.

Imagine the lost opportunities to boost the national morale from even just the recent wars by the Armed forces in Somalia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, the North East etc.

I hope one day we get over this unreasonable love for secrecy and do the right thing!!
