Indeed. VFS Abuja is way more efficient in processing passports. The whole process took seven (7) days and not once did I have to call or mail them.

Update on this
Finally got the passport after little drama..lol.

So here's confirming that 2-WAY COURIER TO ABUJA seems way better than Lagos.
So @insanity's experience was likely unique to him.

Would drop an end-to-end detailing of my experience asap.

Thank you so so so so so much to the awesome guys helping everyone out on this platform, I really appreciate you, and I pray you meet helpers all along.
Can't wait to see the next set of approvals, and I pray it comes quicker than expected, everyone here go move las las.

Senior in the house can you give your insight on this GCMS note:

“I am not satisfied that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of their stay as a temporary resident, I note that: the client is married or has dependants or states to have close family ties in their home country, but is not sufficiently established. The study plan does not appear reasonable given the applicant’s employment and education history. I note that: the client proposed studies are not reasonable given their career path taking the applicant current employment situation into consideration, the employment does not demonstrate that the applicant’s is sufficiently well established that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of a authorised stay”

Thanks for your prompt contribution,i have drafted LOE and SOP for my re-submission can you please proofread for me?

Goodbetterbest:

This application is a career change right? From accounting to personal and child care support. Did you state why in your sop? And may have to show steps you have taken towards the change. I read here once someone even did free udemy or cousera courses and submitted the certificates to show steps he has taken towards the change.
Accounting to personal and child care support is a huge leap. The gcms note kept hammering education and employment history. Career change is possible so fear not. Let others weigh in.
It will end in praise
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by nayantunde: 9:01pm On Jan 13, 2021
I sincerely appreciate you for your findings, can you please see to my newly draft LOE and SOP?
I will appreciates if you can proofread.

Toceenay:

2 questions sir...

1. Since you studied Accounting and applied for personal support and child care, have you at a point in time worked in any child care related services during your years of working experience?
2. Which area or field do you have more years of working experience, even if it's not accounting related?

I believe you will still need a very strong SOP to proof to the VO why changing your career path.

The GCMS note shows the main reason for denial is unclear career progression based on your previous study and employment, that's why I asked those questions... I'll personally advise you choose a course that's closely related to accounting, and if you'll choose any course based on your working experience, choose one that you've had more years of working experience.... With the VO concerns, I strongly believe accounting related course is your best bet!

You can wait for more contributions as well!

Are you trying to pay from Nigeria with a Nigerian issued card? Most likely it is due to transaction limit of $100 placed on bank cards as directed by Central Bank

I don't consider myself a guru o. I only contributed based on what I've seen and read on here. I wouldn't know what to look out for. I personally used the sop format posted here and followed the tips posted here too on how to write your sop.

Can't remember the contributors but do a search or check page 1.

Hello Everyone,
Please for those who travelled to Canada recently, was it a coloured copy of your documents you showed, or the black and white print out was okay? Also, about Covid 19 test, can anyone suggest a good centre in Lagos, and the price please.
Thank you.

Yes.
But the Application fee is more than $100 and may not fly (domiciliary card ought to go)
Look for someone to pay for you abroad and pay someone of their choice the equivalent in Naija

235CAD is equivalent to 185 USD and I have 190 USD for that card. I'm thinking there might be some additional charges I don't know about.

Gurus in the house, pls I need your advice on an issue regarding admission to University of Manitoba.

I haven’t start registration but I want to start gandering information.

I saw a course for post graduate studies In university of Manitoba. The course is called DISABILITY STUDIES. The requirement are

1. 4 years bachelor degree
2. CV/resume
3. Statement of intent
4. 2 letter of recommendation.

The issue is that I studied international law and diplomacy, the course is just like International Relations for undergraduate and I’m currently running Peace and conflict studies in University of Ibadan. I have no work experience.

Pls guru what do you think of this my situation. I can easily get the 4 requirements but the CV is the issue for me because no working experience. This is also an issue of carrier change, pls I won’t mind any advice at all.

Anticipating your response and thanks very much.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Oluwayemisi0507: 9:52pm On Jan 13, 2021
Thank you for the reference.

I will allow my applicationto play out itself.

JustMellow:

Hello Oluwayemisi0507,

Any tangible property that isn't economically generating revenue can't be counted as POF but rather more sufficient in the aspect of HT.

If you included other good HTs before, I think it may be better to allow your application play out. If not, you can send the receipt ONLY if you had made clear reference of the property in your already submitted letter. Otherwise, I see no reason sending it except you decide to include an LOE for easy clarification of its purpose/relevance to your personal situation and/or application.

You may as well approach a lawyer to help out with the Deed of Purchase/Transfer to support the receipt.

Best of Luck
