Elections are supposed to be about us the citizens of this country and not for a bunch or clique of people to decide. That is why it never works in our favour.

If Tinubu is interested in running he should have started speaking directly to 'we the people' outlining what he will do for us who are the focus and objectives of this democracy.

The fact that he does not believe the citizens of this country can independently empower him to office without the influence of a cabal speaks volumes and indicates democracy in Nigeria is still not working well....

...and to make matters worse it indicates that if he eventually finds himself there through any other means but the expressed, independent will of the people he will certainly not serve their interests.

This is my problem with affirmative action. This is why I just donot like arrangee stuff.

Once again I repeat this. Mr Tinubu and others interested in governing Nigeria should come out NOW and start outlining their vision for Nigeria and how to tackle the numerous challenges we face so we may all have time as a people to work with him/them to actualise any potential mandate. Let the people truly be in charge this time around.
