9 controversual terms You Accepted When Joining Facebook by Nobody: 4:15pm On Jan 13, 2021
With the recent clampdown on the new WhatsApp terms and conditions,I decided to do some research on dome ugly terms we accepted when creating a Facebook account.

The truth will always be simple, and that truth is the fact that noneof us ever bothers to read the terms of use of any app which we download and install, which to us is really finecheesy cheesy but actually its not,so here are the 9 controversial terms you accepted yes you accepted when creating a Facebook account.

1. FACEBOOK CAN USE YOUR PICTURE FOR
WHATEVER IT WANTS

Facebook doesn't just have a private album
dedicated to your snaps, it can use them for
whatever it wants.
"For content that is covered by intellectual
property rights, like photos and videos (IP
content), you specifically give us the following
permission, subject to your privacy and
application settings: you grant us a non-
exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-
free, worldwide license to use any IP content that
you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP
License)."

This is my least favorite because most of us really love our lives private and the only way to cancel this is to
delete your entire Facebook account, is worrying
enough.

2. FACEBOOK CAN KEEP COPIES OF IMAGES
YOU DELETED

We all have that profile picture that shocks us every time we see it so we always want it gone, easy take a few new pictures find the one with swag and delete the old one, done free from that stress

But deleting it doesn't get rid of it completely –
Facebook still stores a copy. You know, just in
case.
According to the social giant: "When you delete
IP content, it is deleted in a manner similar to
emptying the recycle bin on a computer.
However, you understand that removed content
may persist in backup copies for a reasonable
period of time."
Sure, it might not be readily available to the
masses, but it's out there, somewhere, just
waiting to resurface.

And remember the only way to get rid of information associated to your account is by deleting itundecided undecided

No 3 is not much problem so far as they give me my share of the proceedscheesy grin, which I know say no go happencry

3. FACEBOOK CAN SELL YOUR FACE FOR
ADVERTISING PURPOSES

Y'ou know when you "Like" a company, brand or
product on Facebook to let everyone know how
tasteful you are? Well you might want to stop
doing that. Not only does it give Facebook easy
advertising ammunition to hit you with, you're
also giving express permission to have your face
used in advertising for that company. So oga and madam be careful the kind company you like it GATS why
But Seriously.
According to Facebook's wording: "You give us
permission to use your name, profile picture,
content, and information in connection with
commercial, sponsored, or related content (such
as a brand you like) served or enhanced by us.
This means, for example, that you permit a
business or other entity to pay us to display your
name and/or profile picture with your content or
information, without any compensation to you."

4. FACEBOOK IS COLLECTING YOUR CONTACT
DETAILS

Remember that pop up that says let Facebook find friends through contacts, here it is thenkiss

The truth is that Facebook has yet to be compromised by a
major hack attack. Sure hackers
have breached its systems, but our personal
data has, to date, remained safe. If hackers with
nefarious intentions do ever gain access though,
we're all in big trouble. Facebook is storing far
more of your contact details than you probably
realise.
Not content with knowing your name and email
address, facebook also collects your phone
number, address and even location details, even
if you don't offer them up willingly.
"We also collect contact information you provide
if you upload, sync or import this information
(such as an address book) from a device," the
company explains.

5. FACEBOOK IS TRACKING YOUR EVERY MOVE

We all know that Facebook is a bit of a nosey
bugger and can track how you use its site, but
were you aware just how much you've agreed to
let it track you? Spoiler alert: it's a scary amount.
As well as Facebook knowing every page you
visit, every image you look at and every link you
click on while on its own site, the social service
is also tracking your every move in the real world
too.
That's right: Facebook knows where you are at
any moment in time , especially if you're using its
smartphone apps. How can this be allowed?
Well, by nodding along to its Ts & Cs you've
agreed to let it track your "device locations,
including specific geographic locations, such as
through GPS, Bluetooth, or WiFi signals." Bugger.

Also to know permission granted open your settings, navigate to apps and select fb then tap permissions

6. FACEBOOK KNOWS IF YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING
AT NAUGHTY WEBSITES
You can lie to your partner and clear your search
history as much as you like, but Facebook still
knows if you've been looking at naughty
websites. Actually, it knows about pretty much
every website you visit. If it's got a Facebook
'Like' button on there somewhere, which, face it,
is practically every website you're going to
frequent, the social network knows if you've been
there.
"We collect information when you visit or use
third-party websites and apps that use our
Services (like when they offer our Like button or
Facebook Log In or use our measurement and
advertising services)," the Twitter rival states.
What information does it collect while following
you around the internet? Well this lot:
"Information about the websites and apps you
visit, your use of our Services on those websites
and apps, as well as information the developer
or publisher of the app or website provides to
you or us."

7. FACEBOOK CAN REMOVE WHATEVER IT
WANTS FROM YOUR PAGE

Sure, you might think that image is hilarious, but
if Facebook doesn't it's not going to last. The
social service reserves the right to remove
anything from your feed without warning. Yes, it
will tell you it's done it, and give you a right to
appeal, but it doesn't have to ask your
permission first: you've already given it.
"We can remove any content or information you
post on Facebook if we believe that it violates
this Statement or our policies," the company's Ts
& Cs read.
While this might largely be reserved for ridding
its pages of naked pictures, inappropriate images
and messages of hatred, Facebook can,
ultimately, press the kill switch on anything you
post, as many breastfeeding women can attest.
8. FACEBOOK HAS A MAP OF YOUR FACE

You know that seriously creepy feature where
Facebook knows who's in your pictures with you
before you've even managed to tag them in it?
Well there's a reason why it's so accurate at
offering up suggested tags: it's been mapping all
of our faces and knows what we all look like –
undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided
Although you can turn this off in Settings >
Timeline and Tagging , Facebook, in its Data
Policy document admits: "We are able to
suggest that your friend tag you in a picture by
comparing your friend's pictures to information
we've put together from your profile pictures and
the other photos in which you've been tagged."

.
9. FACEBOOK WILL TURN ITS BACK ON YOU IF
YOU'RE IN NEED

That whole freedom of speech thing is great,
right? Well, unless you cross the line and
accidentally defame someone or share an
opinion that people take as fact and use to get
themselves in a spot of bother. At that point,
Facebook's done being your friend and wants
you to fend for yourself.

Well trump comes to mind

"If anyone brings a claim against us related to
your actions, content or information on
Facebook, you will indemnify and hold us
harmless from and against all damages, losses,
and expenses of any kind (including reasonable
legal fees and costs) related to such claim," the
company proclaims.

This is great. But is it possible for an app to give all the services Facebook renders and at the same time not fault in this privacy setting?

But all apps are guilty of this. All apps have a back end to fish information if they like. But still information is power. Whosoever have this much information can use it to control the world. The person just need a good roadmap and time
