Those of you who joined via SSC still don't know what you signed up for. It's not too late to ignore the screening. There are better things to do with your lives.

Nigerian Army Adopts Falgore For Training As Buratai Prepares Recruits’ Minds For Sambisa

Nigerian Army Adopts Falgore For Training As Buratai Prepares Recruits’ Minds For Sambisa New Recruits in Falgore Game Reserve
Falgore Game Reserve, a protected biodiversity space in southern Kano, northwest Nigeria, is the focus of a new recruitment process for the Nigerian Army.

The Army has over the years conducted small arms and artillery fire exercises and mounted a series of checkpoints to curb and deter violent crimes in the game reserve.

The reserve is located about 150 kilometres south of Kano city along the Jos-Kano road in Tudun Wada, Doguwa, and Sumaila local government areas.

On Monday, the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, said the Nigerian Army would uphold thoroughness in its recruitment processes to ensure that only qualified persons are recruited.

The chief of Army Staff, TY Buratai, in Falgore Game Reserve
The chief of Army Staff, TY Buratai, in Falgore Game Reserve
Buratai made the remarks during the final screening for recruits at the Falgore forest training camp.

He said the exercise was a new approach to the screening and recruitment process of the Nigerian Army to recruit the best.

According to the Army Chief, lessons drawn from experiences in the field had made it imperative to recruit the best. He noted that a faulty process could lead to “faulty training and subsequently, faulty operations”.

“As such, you must make up your mind that you are ready to serve your country as a soldier and you should be ready, anywhere you are deployed, after your passing out.

“All of you will go to Sambisa at the end of your depot training. If you are not ready to move to Sambisa and other parts of the country, and of course, our border areas to defend our country from any act of aggression, then you have not started,” he emphasised.

He added: “This is where we will select those that will become cadets and be trained as officers as well because, at the end of all the training, the officers and soldiers will operate together under the same condition.”

Successful recruits drawn from the 36 states will proceed to the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria for training.

In June 2019, Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, said that the state government would spend over N318 million on the construction of an Army training centre in Falgore Forest.

Ganduje suggested that the military’s presence in the forest would deter bandits, kidnappers and other criminals gangs operating from there.

Top of the morning to y'll..
Morale is so low from this end.. I have tried all i could to ensure that i sign my ref form (especially the one to be signed by ACP/lieutenant conel) but all effort proved abortive.. God has brought me thus far, and if at this point I can't get anyone to sign for me then I have no choice but to burn this bridge and move on.. I was told but not verified though, that out of the 40 candidate, 8 will be selected for the final training..
For those that have signed thier ref form and all document intact including health, I say a massive congratulations.. peace out!

Please someone should clarify me about personal armour.

Like an officer in possession of a pistol.... Is it by rank or position or any officer can just buy one and struck it by his waist and go around.

Not true any Officer can carry a service pistol it is a matter of choice but only on official duty. I've seen some Course 45 officers with service Pistols in the north east.

I don't know why but I'm having second thought about going for the screening even after almost signing all signable
one reason is, only like 7 would be chosen out of 31 shortlisted in my state, meaning my chances is very slim
two, I don't know what to expect in the screening.. I heard we will run 3km in 20 minutes and I'm not sure if someone couldn't complete it does that mean the person would be disqualified and won't be able to proceed from there? o
three, board interview which is like the most important part of it all.. I don't know what it is or the kind of questions I could be asked
four, I no get anybody wey fit influence anything for me

so before I waste over 30k traveling and endangering my life traveling over 15 hours going to the north maybe I should kuku stay behind and move on... though I've already taken permission from work for the two weeks I would be away

Bros, abeg don't add more salt to people's injury. Many are broken now and life seems unfair to them for not making the list.

If I may ask, when did you get to know how many would be taken per state?
