The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) lodged a complaint against a Nigerian citizen for using a fake passport and visa at the government railway police station in Vadodara on Monday.

The man Mamdubueze Nonso Charles was arrested in March 2018 from Rajdhani Express train for possessing drugs.

According to NCB sleuths, the passport found on Charles was found to be fake after it was verified by the Nigerian High Commission in New Delhi. The High Commission informed the agency that the passport number mentioned in Charles’s passport was of a woman named Grace Bosaiwa. The Indian visa stamp in Charles’s passport was also fake as well as the arrival and departure stamps on it.

Based on NCB’s complaint an offence under the Passport Act and for cheating and forgery was registered. Charles is currently lodged at Vadodara Central Jail.

On March 7 in 2018, NCB had apprehended him with 1.2 kilograms of heroin from Mumbai-bound Rajdhani Express train.
