I'm not a politician neither am here to praise anybody, but believe me when I say that ugwuanyi is the best governor Enugu ever had, those who think ugwuanyi is not working are those who think that Enugu state started and ended at the metropolis..... Try visiting the rural area and see wonders...both the roads construction and rural development... Other past governors only focused at the metropolis and abandoned the rural areas,so many think they are doing great, while the rural areas are nothing to write about.... Take uzo uwani and isi uzo as an instance.

Any pics of these much vaunted rural projects or links to where we can see them....or we should just take your word for it? There had better be something substantial and worthwhile to see, considering how he's neglected the state capital!

The thread died with the exit of Chime! The odd occassion when we do see something happening, it's all wheelbarrow and headpan projects!

I've seen recent vidoes of those estates built during the time of Chime. Estates that were looking neat and landscaped are now looking neglected, rundown, scruffy, unkempt and the once neat and landscaped green spots are now littered with trash and overgrown with weeds!
Wheelbarrow,headpan and shovels!
That disgraceful excuse for a governor should never be allowed to hold any administrative role ever again!
Ugwuanyi is a politician, he's nothing more than a politician, everything to him is politics.
The man never planned to make a difference.
It was politics from day one.

Of course what he means by rural roads is a 1cm thick layer of asphalt, dumped with headpans and spread with shovels, 5meters across and 2km in length.
Eventually getting washed away after 3 months.

Ede oballa Nsukka workers village commissioning (100 flats)....
for your info, there are two other estates beside this one, one is almost completed and they are yet to start the last one...All these to address housing deficit and also make way for development in Ede oballa village which is considered a rural area.

I noticed construction activity along the dilapidated lane of the Enugu-Onitsha highway, around Abakpa junction axis.
Does Ugwuanyi finally want to fix that road?

*Completion of international conference center has now featured on the budget for a 3rd consecutive time; with no sign of completion.
*Construction of flyover at Nike lake T-junction has now featured on the budget for a 3rd consecutive time; the flyover remains imaginary.
*Another flyover has been approved for construction,to continuously appear in the budget for the remainder of Ugwuanyi's tenure; while remaining imaginary along with the others.

I hope this overweight animal will be made to answer to Enugu people what he did with their money.

The ones that have been on the budget for 3 years now have not been executed and you want to add a new one.

Work has been going on at the ICC although at a slow but steady pace. The project in phases. Hopefully, the project will be completed in 2021 with the completion of the remaining structural work, landscaping and furnishing.

For the Flyover, after the outbreak of the pandemic, there was a revised budget that saw the reallocation of funds for the Flyover to renovation to the construction of health facilities. Some of these facilities such as the Enugu Infectious Disease Hospital Enugu, the Nsukka Isolation Center and 7 Primary Health Care centres are almost complete or already in use.

Yes, Ugwuanyi is performing below expectation but it doesn't mean he is not doing anything. Enugu state does not end in the 3 LGA in Enugu centre and it is unfair to access him based on projects executed in city centre alone.

He is busy doing jobs LGA chairmen could successfuly do.. The only thing I give him kudos for is how he remodeled Nike Lake Resort and the ongoing Enugu SME schemes... But when it comes to infracstructure, he is a failure..

Please who lives or can tell about living at Agbani road.
I'm looking to relocate to Enugu and looking for a nice area to move in to.
I see a lot of good reviews about Independence layout, but I'd be working at Agbani road.
What do you think please?

This is very good unlike Owerri which is one-road TOWNSHIP except just Wetheral road, no flyover, no major signature infrastructure etc.

It is very obvious that the Federal Government will not build this airport close to anything expected of an international airport. A lot of games are going on with a campaign of misinformation claiming the airport has facilities that it doesn't have. Many times government propagandists and agents of disinformation for reasons best known to them post pictures of Port Harcourt Intl. airport and try to pass it as Enugu intl. airport!

It is highly imperative for the Enugu state government to keep a monitoring committee on what is going on in this airport. This airport is of huge economic importance to Enugu state in particular and the region in general.

Also, it will be good for the state to assist in areas such as perimeter roads and drainages around the airport while being engaged to ensure the ILS Cat 2 and Night landing facilities are completed to enable the airport to pass the ICAO minimum requirements in order to operate at night as truly an international airport.
