Dude, the numbers by NCDC are grossly underestimated. With all the tests they've carried out they haven't tested 1 percent of the population. The real undetected numbers are surely higher.

Full grown adults have been dying from various illnesses ranging from cardiovascular failures, asthma, cancer, MALARIA, and all sorts of seemingly mild illnesses.
Speaking of Immunity, there is no known vaccine against malaria world over. So, I don't understand as you implied.

In any rate, I hardly argue with people here, and my point is not to discredit the existence of covid 19 and the accompanying death. I only quoted you when you apparently implied that adults couldn't have died from malaria, stressing that they must have died only from Covid 19.

If you can claim that Malaria has been killing fully grown adults who have lived all their lives in a Malaria endemic area, it shows you don't know what you are talking about.

Malaria is not the cause of all these deaths you are now hearing about.

Malaria will kill non-immune ( foreigners) or possibly immunocompromised people (children or pregnant women or maybe HIV/AIDS).

It just amazes me that people will explain the recent events away with Malaria!

If you read what I posted above yiu would have seen where I mentioned Pregnant women, children and severe immunocompromise...

The highest number of Malaria deaths is in Children, and if you understood how this thing works, you will know why.

For you to say a fully grown adults dies of Cerebral Malaria ( which you have so easily pulled out of thin air) shows how ignorant you are.

Pregnancy is a highly volatile period and even at that, I haven't seen any women die of Malaria during that time...
Worst case scenario they lose the pregnancy or have premature deliveries.

This is not saying that Pregnant Women don't die of Malaria, but with modern medicine and how easily accessible antimalarials are, why would you.
Antenatal care is available in the poorest of centres and in its most basic state, antimalarials are given to all pregnant Women.

May I ask, do you know any Adult that Malaria has killed?

And while I am not saying it is impossible, as every Nigerian treats himself for Malaria once he falls ill,
Even if his Kidneys are shutting down or he has Covid...
