Are you kidding me right now?

Before ystdy match, we're 9points away from 4th with almost half the season gone. If it was even Europa sef, I would agree, but not Fvckin fa cup we don't really need. How can he put up a defeatist mindset just halfway the season gone wen top 4 is still salvageable?

I just hope that's your thoughts and not his... Cos if that's his thought, then we're really heading to mediocrity as a club.
How dare you? undecided cheesy

Better speak for yaself o.

Blueray and Spy (Even Arterta) will rather win Fa cup than top 4 or 6.

Even some Londoners will want to use it to taunt Tottenham's trophy drought and that's massive for them but mediocrity for some of us.

Arteta is a S T U P I D coach.
Arsenal's job is too big and difficult for Arterta, Atimes I pity the lad.

I remember some fans asking Arterta to play the new G.keeper Runnarson, only for it to back fire.

Its not as easy as you guys see it.

Arsenal's job is too big and difficult for Arterta, Atimes I pity the lad. Even Emery got confused and Allegri rejected the job.

Then Arterta is doing fine as far as cup games are concerned. Why the attacks on him?

I'm glad u saw this. I've always told u Martinez and Leno are at par based on the few games Martinez played for us. We had to sell either of them and we opted for Martinez which is not a a bad decision. We had 2 very good keepers and none of them ready to deputise for the other one.

Yes, I say it with my full chest ; I want FA cup more than top 6 finish. Obviously we can't make top 4, but what is the essence of top 6 when u are still trophyless?

Those of us that lived during the Wenger Trophyless Era knows what it means to actually be Trophyless.

U don't sign a rookie manager with a very economical budget as a broke club and expect Ur manager to perform miracle

I think it was Jodera that made me realise top 4 is very much within reach this season despite our poor start. Inasmuch as you are spot on.

He sometimes behaves as someone that is lost. Tierney had no business starting and finishing the Newcastle match. We could have won both matches comfortably if he had rested the right players.

Tbh, top 4 is within reach. All Arteta just needs to do is give it our best shot. We know we can't win all our matches, but then even the Chelsea, Leicester et al aren't sure of winning all their matches too.

If I am Arteta, the only competition I'll take serious is the league(getting top4 now that it's still salvageable) and Europa. Any other competition, I won't give a damn. He knows how financially tight we're and those two are big avenue to get money and even players of your choice. I don't see the reason why one will risk them for Fa cup or Carabao cup who don't give much money(especially as he's even won the fa cup recently)

Very simple
Take league (top4) serious or win Europa
Either way UCL qualification certain

Fvck ozil mehn!!!

So ozil and the board can reach this decision, yet they just wasted 6 good months of funds that could be harnessed elsewhere

I am very sad it ended this way.. By far one of the most magical players I have seen in creating assists especially around the final third..His signing brought back some star power to Arsenal and he delivered some trophies.

He was treated poorly and with disrespect but he has shown maturity and genuine love for the Club by terminating his contract because he easily could have continued to hold the club hostage with his wages or have Arsenal pay part of it at another club but I am glad he has done otherwise.

I will always Stan Ozil no matter what anyone thinks, I think everyone already knows that here..

Now, watch Arsenal waste that money on extending Willian’s/ Luiz or Xhaka’s contract. Watch Arsenal sign a useless Chelsea player with that money.

As good as this may sound to you, I will be cautious until the full story comes out. Ozil caused a problem for the club with his political stance. When he was put out of the team he could have sourced for other clubs and stay in the game rather than sitting down and do nothing to earn big wage. I blame Arsenal for not using him that time as it was a big waste, yet I believe they have their reasons. This deal could have happened during the summer. I am aware that Arsenal actually threatened to take legal action and force him to repay the money he earned while doing nothing if he doesn't agree to a termination (he initially wanted Arsenal and Fernebahce to share his wages for another two years). So he was forced to agree not that he's doing the club a favor.

The good thing is that this story has come to an end. A fair end.

Contractually there was nothing Arsenal could have done as far as taking him to court. Ozil was not refusing to play na? He did not down tools! The last time I checked he was training every week with the team and participating in all team activities but the club through Arteta chose not to register him for any competition, so how was it his fault?

He had a contract that was binding between both parties and the issue of a real trade never came up until now. Ozil needed to make an important statement with the way he was treated because of his political stance. Did Arsenal offer him to any club and he refused? Arsenal negotiated the contract with him and now he is supposed to force a move away from Arsenal because he has been vilified by the owners and coaches? Come on man! We did Ozil wrong in my books! There is no justification for this. There is absolutely nothing wrong for him to choose to sit and enjoy the last 6 months of a 350K/ Week salary that was negotiated. He did not down tools.

Rather than being appreciated for his decision we have continued to vilify him even on this thread. The deal could have happened in the summer but which club presented any offer? How many clubs can afford his wage? Was he offered and refused? Here we are, he chose to terminate the contract, yet, he is still burdened with the responsibilities of the failures associated with the bad ending.

Arsenal is struggling mightily under Arteta on and off the field but we can not focus on football and make the right decisions knowing fully well that this team is lacking an AM. Instead with no plans to recruit a decent AM because of our financial situation, we freeze Ozil, take months, injuries and COVID to start playing ESR, splash money on Willian/ Renew contracts of players who have no business donning the crest and exhibiting a distasteful and despicable level of mediocrity is managing the locker room yet Ozil is still the main problem.

I will continue to Stan Ozil, this step he took shows he is a class act because he could have continued to sit and enjoy his money.
