Also, a Lagos -based public health consultant, Dr Rotimi Adesanya , urged the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 to prevail on the NIMC to suspend the registration exercise, saying that the gatherings posed dangers to the populationOn one hand they behave as if there is COVID-19, on the other hand, their actions and decisions are as if there is no COVID-19. |

Ye ye Government still having analog brain.... what will it cost them to make a directive that if you've an existing recognized ID like international passport, Driver's license or Voter's Card make dem have portal and tell the owner to create an account and upload his or her ID and also do a Selfie to verify is the owner of the ID and you tell him to check back in next 7 working days or so for you to get is Data from the ministry wey dey in charge of the ID he submitted from there you generate him an NiN number... This alone will go a long way |

I think the deadline should be postponed until December to give people time to register. But seriously though Nigerians need to stop this habit of leaving everything until the last minute. Since 2013, this much people have not done the NIN? 7 years? Same way they were rushing to do BVN at the last minute This is so ridiculous because I actually lost my NIMC printout some years ago and went to reprint yet some people didn't even attempt to register at all |

The Nigerian system always finds a way to stress people. How can people be suffering like this because of ordinary NIN. This is appalling. This ain't brilliant........ |

Anything parastatals of the govt that starts with 'N' and ends with 'C' is shambles. NDDC, NCDC, NCC, NIMC, NRC, NIC, NTC, NERC, NERDC, NPC, NSC, NUC, NNPC, NYSC, NLC, NBC. ![]() Whosoever did this to Nigeria will definitely end in shame n reproach. ![]() |

Mynd44:Bro, some people work 5 working days every week for one year and 8 to 4pm. The government needs to find better ways to get information from the citizens. This is completely old school. |

Una no get work, if una truly get work, una go face una work. And no go and queue under the sun like primary school kids waiting for the governor or local government chairman to arrive. If they want to block my line I dash them I no get body except there are other ways of registering without waiting under the sun. Them go block SIM them go tire. Must people queue like kindergartens before things can be done in this country? |

Mynd44:there should be no deadline..via technology the government should get all its citizens seamlessly registered, their NIN and id cards given to them without stress. Never seen a govt as useless as the one in Nigeria. The government presently should be administering new born babies with their NINs and identity cards given to them so that 30 years from now they don't have to queue up during a pandemic to register for such rubbish. The disorganisation of the Nigerian govt is appalling... |
| Re: NIN : We Leave Home Early, Abandon Work To Get NIN Without Success — Applicants by bayelsaowei(m): 7:54am On Jan 17, 2021 |
Mynd44:does buhari have is NIMC or national identity card? You might just be shocked our leaders barely have these certificates. How about new born babies? Are they being registered at birth and given their NINs so that they don't have to queue up like fools 30 years from now? These registrations should be seamless but NO the govt must make everything hard. Now they are saying even those that got their NINs from their BVN should still go queue up..why? What rubbish is that? |

Waiting for the last day before they register, lazy people everywhere. This thing has been on ground since 2014, what were they waiting for. |
