well u/we have had to put up with these selfish presidents, so it is not out of place for u to think no president will do it. Some people will be motivated to do it, out of the same self interest u talked about. If u really understand human behaviour, u will know that is the reason there's a conscious effort to restrict certain people from ruling.
I still maintain you dont know what you are saying.
My position is a well thought one
Did Apc not talk about restructuring before 2015 elections
When they got to govt, what happened.
And its a matter of survival, the north who this structure favours will and who decide who becomes what will never make that kind of person president
2
The last time Nigeria operated regional govts, there was a civil war, Nigeria is too fragmented ethinically and religion wise and even in other ways to have strong parts what will ensure the survival and continued existence of Nigeria is a strong, overbearingly strong centre to keep the country as one
3
No president will want to be a figurehead commander in chief.
If you implement just resource control for example, and leave the military in the hands of the presidency.
I can argue that money is even more important than arms. You can always buy whatever you need since we all buy arms we dont produce them.
So thats not practical too.
Think about it
Why do u think Nigeria is like this. Things are not as simple and straightforward as they seem

It’s not possible.

APC would not be that inconsiderate to offset the political space with a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

However if they eventually succeed with that ticket, it will be a game of religious numerical strength between Christians and Muslims coz people will vote along religious lines except the SW.

Even SW to an extent will be polarized under such circumstances.

Maybe that will clear the doubt about the most populous religion in Nigeria shar.
Stop deceiving yourself, mister. There are more Muslims than Christians in Nigeria.

PDP candidate is busy taking Covid19 vaccine in Dubai na... we know that the party cant bring out anybody other than Atikuloot with Obi as vice... Not new...and this will make the winning be very easy for Osinbajo/ Elrufai

A ticket with Osibanjo on top won't win. He has no electoral value.

Most of you are low not to understand 5% Buhari used after the election, He got less than 5% votes from East, not that Igbo voting strength is 5% majority of them voted for PDP because of Peter Obi, dull minds go and check numbers of collected PVC and how states voted with IPOP order to Igbos not to participate, Igbos collected PVcs and voted more than Yorubas in typical Yoruba states minus no man's land, Igbo voting strength are more, you guys became relevant because of Buhari popularity in the north, North gave Buhari the winning numbers not Southwest, Buhari has been winning elections from the time Okadigbo was his Vp candidate and Umezuoke in 2007, Buhari won 2007 presidential election, Yaradua even later admitted that the election was rigged to his favor, go and check last election results, Buhari managed to win in West even Ogun were Osibanjo came from.

Cc. LegendHero
Oniro oshi. The 5% comment was made in 2015 before Peter Obi was even on the ticket. Mind you, one of the main reasons Atiku couldn't pull strength in core north in 2019 was because an igbo man was on the ticket. You can ask around for verification.

Do you care to share more of this, really interest in it, details on how Tinubu is making moves he support Osinabjo and Elrufai ticket..... It is better for Tinubu to support Osinbajo and Elrufai or Zulum ticket really...He will stay relevant in today democracy the more
Ours is a country sensitive to ethno-religious standing. Factors counting against Tinubu: A muslim/muslim ticket would never sell in this country and the north would never support a minority Christian for the post of a VP.

Tinubu is seen to be complicit in the failure of this administration due to the significant role he played in its coming to power.

There is also a very powerful bloc in the APC which comprises the governors and a good number of them are against his ambition (The Oshiomhole saga was a pointer to 2023).

Buhari will never be comfortable handing over to him and the lekki toll gate incidence has further dented his image.

Tinubu and El-Rufai know that their aspiration for 2023 won't be a hit and must reach a compromise to stay relevant. Tinubu would rather hold to his Lagos than take a gamble at the Presidency and lose. An Osibanjo presidency ticks that for them both.

Zulum is another good fit for the VP being from the NE. But for me with regards 2 capacity, those 2 short men have what it takes to deliver and would eventually hand over to the youths (El-Rufai has appointed a significant number of youths in their 20s to 30s to his cabinet and they have delivered immensely. His only minus is the growing insecurity in the state).
