Sure, but we have lots of pastors and individuals who only know how to use you, without ever appreciating you with finances, and whether you like it, finance is key in everything, that's why churches collect tithes, they don't wait for money to miraculously drop in the offering box, or appear in their accounts. A music minister has every right to ask for payment for his services, but all things should be done with wisdom, letting God's spirit lead. Because you are to ask for money doesn't mean that if God's spirit directs you not to collect, or to take lesser, you'd refuse. I heard of a music minister, who used to be quite popular, that was invited to a musical program by his mother church, a church that was very instrumental in his growth musical, and yet, he foolishly requested for pay, and firmly said he won't show up without it. He was given the pay, but on the day of the program, he wasn't given the platform to minister. Now in his case, that was foolish, because common sense demands that you don't demand pay from a church that helped build your musical career. So in all things, God's leadership abounds, but it's definitely not wrong to demand for a fee.

Gospel music in Nigeria is growing at a precipitous rate. With global events like Xperience and the likes, Nigerian musicians are gaining world wide popularity and attaining global acclaim in their craft. Most importantly, they are helping to spread the word of God through their music.

Social media has been a vehicle for the promotion of Gospel music, with platforms like YouTube and Instagram being used by the Artistes in sharing their music to their fans and broader society.


The level of followership a person has on Instagram is a reflection of the about of fans and the level of influence a person has, and today I count down the gospel musicians in Nigeria that have the highest followership on Instagram.

I'll admit that I was impressed to see the numbers of followers some of the Artistes on my list have, as they are even more that the ones Slayqueens and other celebrities have. This goes to show that Nigerians still appreciate gospel music.

One can be moderate yet stylish, that's why i mentioned intention. Why does a Christian ( Not one by just lip service but a true follower of Christ beholding Him as in a glass while transforming into His image and not conforming to this world, walking in righteousness ) need to be stylish? That thought should not cross your mind else you simply wanna get praise from men as in the human nature to naturally seek worship.
