The Life Of The Spirit: How To Be In The World But Not Of The World

John 3:8 (KJV)

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:8 (KJV)

When one is born of the Spirit, he begins to live a life that is as the wind to those of the world.

A life they could only see and hear but can't comprehend its movement, because the life was not driven by the flesh and the things of this world, but by the Spirit and the things of the Kingdom of God.

The life begins with the obedience of the Words of the Kingdom which God commanded His Son Jesus to teach the children of men, to bring about the establishment of His kingdom which is in heaven, upon the Earth.

John 12:49-50 (KJV)

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Hence after the disciples of Jesus had kept those Words that God had given to Him for that very purpose, although they were still in the world, they were no longer of this world but of the Kingdom of God.

John 17:6 (KJV)

I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

John 17:8 (KJV)

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

John 17:14 (KJV)

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

So they had kept those Words which God gave to Jesus but that made the world to hate them, because those Words represent the Standard of the kingdom of God in heaven, God's dwelling place, therefore it made the disciples of Christ to no longer be of the world but of the Kingdom of God just as their Master Jesus was.

That's how the disciples of Jesus began to live the life of the Spirit and the kingdom of God which is in heaven, on earth even though they were yet flesh.

John 3:6

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Hence were those Words also called the Words of the Spirit, as they bring about the Spiritual birth of those who keep them, hence the disciples of Jesus after keeping those Words were no longer flesh but spirits that walked upon the Earth.

John 6:63 (KJV)

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Those Words of the Spirit that God gave to Jesus to speak to men, also guarantees the Eternal life of anyone who keeps Them, hence the need for Jesus to speak Them regardless of the opposition of those of the world to Those Words.

John 12:50 (KJV)

And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Therefore whoever keeps those Words is guaranteed Eternal life, because the person already lives the life of the Spirit and of the Kingdom of God which is in heaven, on the earth, hence upon death, the transition from the earth to heaven is seamless, because the life of the Spirit continues, the only difference is that the life of the Spirit they live in heaven is without the flesh.

It's a life that the devil hates more than anything else and would do anything to prevent any man from living, because once a man begins to live the life of the Spirit, he is lost to the devil forever!

We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Just like a NASA astronault needs a special kind of suit while in space, we needed this body to experience life on earth
It comes with all the emotions, passions, ego..etc. Abilities we need to function well.

The purpose is to grow and learn.

We are all part of the oneness of God. We are experiencing life as ourselves, but we are all of the same spirit.
Death simply means shelding the body like a snake and becoming part of the oneness of God..
