Greedy cement manufacturers are the cause.

If we depend on importation of cement only I think it might be cheaper than what we have now.

Over 80% of raw materials needed for cement production are readily available in Nigeria. Only gypsum and additives are imported so why the high cost.

For those thinking Dangote refinery will reduce fuel price, you are in for a shocker

You guys will be providing hopeless and clueless statistics. You suddenly forgot when u increased price of diesel which affected transportation cost of goods generally including flour, cement, and foodstuffs.

But we won't see those ones in the news. Rather it's ur clueless excuses. Losers always have excuse for failure. Continue.

English everytime. Motion without movement.

If supply is down, you can temporarily allow for importation over a short period to act as a buffer. Infact you can use this model of automatically triggering importation of some vital items to meet up supply or in the event of over exploitation by local producers. Be it cement, rice etc. But no, you guys will prefer to pass all the shocks to the poor consumer.

This is the result of near crass monopoly by a single individual in a country of over 200m people.

When his refinery finally come on stream, he would have succeeded in his economic conquering/srangulation of Nigerians and the nation.

Time, only time, will tell!

Get the Bleep outta of here. Must we buy Nigeria cement. Allow importation of cement, make it a perfect competition market and you have solved the problem.
Instead you handed us over to Dangote and his cohorts forced us to be buying from them, so they enjoy Supernormal profit.
