Now I got this pictures below from two nairalanders who saw something similar. Unfortunately, I see them alot in my farm and I don't even know the name or if it's venomous or not. Who knows what this creature is. https://www.nairaland.com/5872025/what-kind-snake#up Kindly keep off this thread if you don't know or not sure about the name. We don't want kids here

I think Science, in this case study of reptiles "Herpetology" as a long way to go in this country. I believe discoveries are endless, and years of continual change of metamorphic actions occurring due to genetic mutation. Someone said Puff adder, the pattern does look alike in a way, not keenly though. And puff adder is a sturdy snake in place of being lengthy. Common kraits? Definately no, they are found in some parts of Asia, not this part of the world... I came across a baby snake with a look alike pattern years ago.... captured it, though later released it.. This snake simply can't be identified just with few pictures, should be a chase for an herpetologist.

Both pictures are not same snake species. The second picture has the patterns of a python, a baby python. We should remember pythons aint born large, they start out small like all living things. |
