u pple will just open ur mouth to say anything, what's the good thing that could come out of being blind?
well she isn't born blind.. she just gradually got blind all of a sudden after an accident..
I'm sure if she is taken oversea, the doctors may do something to restore her sight even if it's only one eye

Why is my post hurting you so bad?
Just ignore and pass. Life is not hard oooo. Take it easy ooo.
You were spamming the thread with nonsense that was totally unrelated to the topic of discuss.

Instead of condoling with the person in the op, you were talking nonsense. Not trying to ruin your hustle. Just saying you should apply sense when doing so. It's a sensitive thread.

I wish she could have sourced for money to travel out once she found out its retina displacement. These half-baked doctors in Nigeria can't do shit about something like that.

Almost cried while reading this. So touching.
Very touching indeed. The Nigeria health system is a risk. I know of two persons who encountered almost similar problems. The luck they had was to operate on one of the eye first before considering the other. Sadly that was the same eye they lost. When they eventually flew out, the doctors over there were mad at the level of irreversable damage done to one of the eye. As the actual issue was very minor compare to what was addressed. Just few treatment the other eye was perfect. Another one living within the area had minor complains of eye sight, decided to visit the hospital and was told they had to remove something from his eyes that was how it ended up sightless in a teaching hospital. The chief was mad at those that did it, because it was an error. And the family was threatening legal actions against them.

The issue is lack of manpower, inadequate facility, zero welfare and of course the school system. The chances of meeting an experienced hand is ratio 2/10 if not less. So many experienced doctors have fled the country.

“I tried other general hospitals in Lagos to see if I could have the surgery in any of them, but they all said they lacked the capacity to undertake it"

You see? This is one of the numerous reasons why I always regret being an African, most especially a Nigerian.

Was it medication that caused it?
The problem ,as with most health issues in Nigeria is that one won't be able to say what caused it actually.
But whatever medical diagnosis that may have caused it ,I still think the Nigeria health sector hit the nail on the coffin.

If only we had our own NHS..

It’s not rocket science... We just have to care for ourselves enough. Life on Earth should be comfortable. Forget heaven
