At the time Biafra was campaigning for self-reliance Yoruba was agitating for army to remove northern soldiers from west and relocate north. It was called Nigerian army but in west it felt like an army of foreign occupation because northerners were disproportionally posted everywhere. At the time ojukwu declared war his armoury was not at the scale it ought to be but his counter-offensive in use of propaganda worked very well against Nigeria. He had opportunity to exploit the Yoruba grievance and win them to his side. Not necessarily to fight with Biafra, but to get a commitment for neutrality. Yoruba would comply since we were against occupation by same force Biafra was rebelling against. Ojukwu could have fought and defeated north and celebrate his independence, and Yoruba could have worked a balance into ethnic boots on its soil. Instead of diminishing capacity of it's northern adversary, Biafra marched out to antagonize and acquire more adversaries in West and mid-West. This error caused Biafra loss.

So it is possible to split Nigeria if north should make the mistake of provoking war.

Also, Ambazonians don't have international access to recruit or to use a proxy saboteur to infiltrate and cause heavy damage and wreak cameroon economy.

Here in Nigeria South has that capability. We can blockade north and ruin it's economy totally.

Almost in every thread I opened in nairaland,there is a talk of a second civil war looming. We need to tell ourselves the truth if there is a war in Nigeria do you think the igbos will form alliance with any tribe in Nigeria let alone the Yoruba.
You can remember vividly what happened in 1966-67 and the outcome.

Nice comment. with civil war the military can hit back at civilians maximally to force a surrender. When a country is at war 'collateral damages' are ignored but with guerrilla warfare, the country isn't really at war but it is a quiet, gradual but continuous "hit and retreat" against the army until they become weak and call for dialogue.

Some people are quick to call for war as if war is a good thing.
