You pay her parent to let her come and help you in your home that you will take responsibility of her clothes, education, food and well being.
If you pay ur maid, then she ain't maid to you but employee which you can't keep her after her duty.
If ur pay a nanny, you simply pay her for a specific period of time to take care of ur child/children while you're out and you will never keep ur room open while you are out.

If you pay a cook, it mean her job is to cook.
House help is deaper than that and can easily be your sister or cousin.
Differentiate your point.

A maid is a female servant. Why would you pay her parents? I am not into child labor. I employ only adults.
