Remove a stick from d plus and put it in front of the 2 to make it - 2
i.e

5-7=-2

Move one of the match sticks(the vertical) from the plus(+) sign and put it on the upper side of 5 to make 9, so the equation becomes:
9 - 7 = 2

Wrong, remember that only one stick should be moved, if u move the horizontal stick from the plus sign to make -2, the equation becomes: 5 l 7 = - 2

Well.... You may be right, but the instructions didn't state we can not tamper with the sticks

9 minus 7 equals 2.
Move the stick from the plus sign to make the 5 becomes 9 and the plus sign minus.

In your math you moved the wrong matchstick
