Lemme give you the logic so you don't have issues with that.

Next time when you want to ask a rider to re request you like that, you don't even need to set destination to where the rider is going, just observe the min to arrival on the rider app or ask the rider what min is it showing to arrival, if it's over 1min, just know the request will be going to another driver far from the PU.

So when the rider is ready to request, go online and ask the rider to click where he/she is going, once it shows 1min to PU, ask the rider to comfirm the order and make the request, it will surely come to you but if it's consistently show 3min upward, then go offline and go online back and ask the rider to make the request.

Also the reason why such request won't come to you again is if you have been placed on card trips only and the request is cash, it won't come to you.

I don't think I understand what you're trying to explain in your 2nd and 3rd paragraphs. But what I think you mean is the rider should make sure the GPS location on their phone is one so that everything will synchronise accordingly.

Many a time I've seen where riders would want to make request and will not border to turn on their GPS location weather they're ignorant of it ooh I don't know...now they'll begin to complain the map is not bringing their location, this is the reason to wrong PU address we drivers experience most times.

So in an ideal condition a request is meant to come to the closest driver to the rider, you don't need any technical approach to this.

RPM affects oil consumption. The higher your usual RPM is the more oil will be consumed. That's because you put extra pressure on the seals and gaskets and some of the oil finds its way around and gets burned away in the combustion chamber. ... The hotter your engine runs the thinner your oil will be.

Ps ... You driving habits contributed to it .. .. To avoid shaking tables .. I will not comment on ur driving habits cool

Ehailing apps have automatic location permission. As such, they don't need to put on the location before using it. So also is the banks app and related apps.

For what it’s worth ...concerning engine oil shortage and 20W50 weights of oil

My dad purchased a new tear nylon Toyota car from mandilas in 2004 and after the usual warranty period where he was taking the vehicle in to the dealership for services (like one year or so) he started using Mobil XHP 20W50 since 2006 till date. It’s a daily driver and he uses it with air conditioning too.

This car does not short oil, engine is still powerful, water drops from tail pipe in the mornings after starts and engine top has never been opened. I don’t know if there’s sludge in it as I’m yet to peep into the fill hole.

He changes his oil religiously at every 3000 kilometers.

From this case study, I think a viscosity of oil damaging your engine is only possible when you don’t change it out on time (not for newer engines).

He is experiencing a slight drop in mpg though, maybe it’s from other factors or it may be the oils viscosity.

This condensation of water vapor from the exhaust ...it does not mean that the engine is running perfect .. I have notice this is how mechanics and car owners interpret or conclude that the engine is fine grin. When a mechanic is inspecting a car for client this is one of the first thing they look at ..........

Your dad has not been driving the car long enough to see and feasible damage yet .... Yes I know he got the car 2004 or so .. With Lagos traffic and over crowded places how many miles will he do a year ...

I bought a 2005 Honda civic from an old woman this December with 121k miles on it .. The car basically is 15 years.. If you do the math that is about 8k miles a year . Which is nothing at all for 15 year old car . I believe the old woman stop driving the car few months ago before the son decided to sell the car .. Even the son drove the car too ........

So you have to factor in the frequent usage of the car before you can conclude on anything.. 2004 Toyota cars were built to tolerate abuse better back than compare to now .. This is why u still see 2001 Toyota Camry on the road in USA..Cars are getting more advance and sophisticated with all types of sensor etc ..And not all cars can take abuse ..

You will see cars that are less than 5 years to 10 years or younger on the road now. Car technology has gone pass and advance 2004 ..... You can't even compare engine oil of 2004 to now that we are in 2020........

Prevention is better than cure .. Owners should read their car manual at all times

Well you’re right about the condensation factor and water coming out the tailpipe of cars.

Don’t worry, since I’m in lag now I’d go tomorrow morning and check the odometer of the car then take a pic down the oil fill hole to see if there’s sludge. As I said this car was, is and will still be his daily driver so I’m certain he’s raked up enough miles on that particular engine.

I’d mention you once I’ve done these things then we’d know more and get some first hand info on this topic.

Also driving a car in a city, stop and go traffic is harder on an engine than having it do mostly highway miles. So in case you want to say that a car driven mostly within a city isn’t as abused as one always on the road traveling then you’d have to think again.

Let me drop this tip here on how I set destination more than twice a day.

From Monday to Thursday, i don't do anyhow trips, before I leave home(mushin), i always set destination to Ajah market.
many times, i get trips going to from Chevron down to ikota school, only few times I get to from lekki phase 1 to jakande.

So when I get such trip, i will just explain to the rider i don't want to exhaust my chances of setting destination and he should cancel while I remove the destination and request me back.

So when I get to lekki, i do same back to the mainland where I will set ikeja lagos and i mostly get somolu or ajao estate, immediately I get to mainland, i will just go home and set destination again to ajah market.
I do that on 2 round trips and that alone, I would have gross 13k or more depending on traffic and distance.

Omo...this guy na crook...and u get mind. Me wey dey find destination trip, when I finally get it u now expect me to tell d rider to cancel and request again...Banza, what if it enter for another person. Can't risk that o.
But this plan make sense wella wink cool

I also stated that those Toyota cars built in 2000 were built to take and tolerate all form of abuse.. We are now in the age of hybrid cars to electric cars ... Technology is moving forward not backward.. Let us try to follow owners manual at all times.. And I dont think u want to driving a 20year old car for ever o

The same mentality and maintainence culture we have with cars in 2004 is the same mentality we carry in the new age of technology.... Because of our thinking and doing things is why Nigeria infrastructure in decaying.. We need to change our mind set on how we do things.. This is the reason why I stated long time ago that hybrids cars is not ideal car for our people.. We tend to think we know better......

Someone on the forum stated that what is learn in the classroom is different in the real world .. This was pertaining to our discussion on car engine oil ... car company that will spend millions of dollars testing a car for years at their testing factory ....

No oh my Oga, we’re not questioning manufacturer’s recommendation here naw undecided

We’re just debating ‘the effects of 20W50 weight of oil and it’s prolonged use in an engine’ ... dazzall

The way bolt matches drivers to riders is one mystery in this ehailing work I'm yet to unravel.

I have an activity score of 98% and rating of 4.90. My rating has not dropped below 4.80 in a very long time. Yet, when I'm at a location with more than one driver and a request comes in, it almost never comes to me.

I'm starting to think its probably a first thing first out thing. Since I hardly stay long enough at one place, its difficult for me to confirm this.

I don't see the logic and research of the 20w50 oil if what the application is been used for is not what is recommended ... just because it is meant for Application A does not mean it will work for all applications...

each engine applications are built differently to accommodate certain types of oil level.. A 2017 Benz I think it is a Gl or something.. The owners manual reccomends 20w50 at a certain degree ambient tempt. So in others word the valve seals or sleeves can accommodate the thickness of the oil and the oil pump of the car will not damage or over work itself . Not all cars engine are built the same...... .

I promise in 2021 that I will leave oil matter discussion alone , I keep getting drag into it ......

My brother you are right, just like I said in my earlier post...when there is a pool of driver in same location radius....FIFO and history of trip is applied, just like if you park at the Airport with other pool of cars,FIFO will be applied, even during their training, the instructor mentioned it, but then it's all things being equal... The standard is always the closet person to the prospective rider, but when there is a pool of drivers in almost same place...FIFO kicks in.

Well, let me share my experience with U, wen I was actively driving and I enter a crowded Ehailiing Driver zone (e.g Chevron drive, Osapa london e.tc) I switch on my 4G modern and not my normal MTN or Airtel Sub and and crash all other apps only Bolt or Uber will be active apps, and I can tell U even if I shud meet 50 drivers dere I must leave dere b4 d 3rd driver will get request.

Have you wondered Y several peeps calls a line during a radio program and some peeps are constant with dere calls?? Reason is network and the technicalities involved.

So just know dere are other factors asides proximity and ratings.
