I don't understand, but the new COAS is a major general, why would a lieutenant Gen that is supposed to be under a major General retire? And why would the rest of the major Generals retire also? Please can you enlighten me on this?

Burutai former COAS was a lieutenant Gen, and this guy was a major Gen why didn't he retired when Burutai was picked as COAS could you please explain to me plssssssssssss

A lieutenant general is superior to a Major General. Any other Major General who enlisted before him must retire cos u can't serve under a junior chief.

To warn every body in advance; This was the guy that was the commander of 82 DIV Enugu, during those days of endless massacres of IPOB protesters from Aba to Onitsha and from Nkpor to Enugu! For a long time, it has been rumoured that he might be appointed to this position. With his wayward disregard for lives, folks need to be ready for more massacres and total disregard for human lives and the rule of law.. This guy should be at the Hague and not at Army headquarters..
