Cry For Revival Of Benue Industries by Tanyogo(m): 9:26am On Jan 30, 2021

Oh Benue! My Benue!!!

Your pain and woes started
When Lobi Bank died
And you were left with your
South and north banks.

Benue Breweries Limited
Is now brewing for a strange
Stranger in the land
More is no more for Benue.

Benue Cement Company
Is long married to Dangote
Who is busy making money
And has forsaken her child
BCC Lions to die of kwashiorkor.

Taraku Mills Limited
What are you milling?
That our soya beans is wasting?
You can't mill soya beans
And give Benue soya oil!

Otukpo Burnt Bricks Limited
Caught fire mysteriously
And burnt herself to death
From ashes it came and
From ashes it must return?

Igumale Cement Company Limited
Did you die on arrival?
Or did you survive a day to taste
The joy of being a cement company?
See you limestone lay to waste.

Benue State Television
How many times will you appear
In Benue Budget annually
And gulp in clean millions
Before you will be watched
Like a dancing masquerade at Christmas?

Benue Fruit Juice Company
Are you so sweet a virgin
Benue People cannot taste your juice?
What a damsel in distress are you!
Benue Tomato Company
When will Benue tomatoes ever
Be ripe enough for you to take off?
When Benue is now know as
The waste land of tomatoes.

Benue Agricultural Development Company
Lays along Aliade road with
Hands outstretched to travelers
Begging for alms and help
Like street urchins of old.

Ben, the Benue soft drink
Could not survive either and
Died a beautiful young maiden
Coca Cola bought its premises
But packed and left in a hurry
Like a traveling hurricane.

Benue State Water Board
Benue people are thirsty
Because you lay so lame by
The River Benue and cannot
Scoop and purify water for
Benue's thirsty throats!

Radio Benue Makurdi
Where is Katsina-Ala substation?
Where is Idekpa sub-station?
Upon what shall they resurrect
Like Jesus on Good Friday?

Oh Benue! My Benue!!
Where did you go wrong?
When shall you get it right?
Arise ye government of Benue state and revive yourself from slumber......
Copied.

Trust me I'm from Benue but I'll say I'm always ashamed to say I'm from there cuz I really can't wrap my head in knowing what Benue is really good for except Food production and Bloodshed. It's just a pity media don't carry majority of what's going on here

If Jukun are not killing Tiv, Tiv are facing Agatu. these faction of hoodlums are waging supremacy war against the other community everything get settled the next you hear is Tiv people killings in Taraba and those faction are fighting back. the funny thing is it happens mostly every week. Well, I thank God my great grandfather had root in Taraba I've since renounce everything that had me to do with Benue n claimed Taraba for good and thank God same has been done on all my Documents

Until Benue have a mindset readjustment.

It's this kind of mindset that keep Benue state where it is right now.
How can you renounce your ancestral home?
When you're rejected there, we'll equally reject you.

It's that rejection I'm even really after. Benue has stopped being my ancestral home since 2015 after I got my Taraba state of origin certificate. the thing y'all should pray for in Benue is Peace and an advocation for Peace. until that is done nothing good would be known bout Benue even food sef

as sad as it sounds sometimes I think your people the tiv people are paying for the part they played in the genocide of the igbos from 1966 to 1970 they were deceived by the hausa/Fulani to see themselves as northerners and igbos the common enemy , 60% of the northern soldier's that participated in that war were tiv people, the 3th marine battalion under Lt col Benjamin adekunle that entered into Biafra through the sea from calabar were about 40 thousand half of them were tiv soldier's under the command of their own brother Lt col SHANDE he was eventually killed by biafran soldier's in owerri that was when tiv soldier's started leaving the war
when the igbos were running from the north back to the east tiv people captured them in makurdi killing and dumping their bodies in river Benue

Lt col Joseph akahan who was heading the military Barracks in Ibadan helped the hausa/Fulani soldier's to capture and kill all the Igbo officers that were in that Barracks in such a horrifying manner , sometimes I feel all these bad things happening in the north and middle belt could be karma .

That's an horrifying history I never got to know much bout but what i knew bout the Biafran war was that the North central played a major role in making sure Biafra wasn't achieved. but what more can we say?? Maybe it wasn't the plan of God for a divided Nigeria then, can we question Him?

my brother Nigeria itself was never created by God but by the British, they just mapped out west Africa and shared it amongst themselves as business property British France Portuguese business partners

Bfr this Burna boy's "Another story" song there was this man that said something bout British making Nigeria a business entity for themselves. The problem started when Awo and Zik kept advocating n fighting for independence when we were not ripe for it even Bello kept saying it to that we were not ripe, I personally feel things wouldn't have been this worse as a Nation if they all had given the Brits time. But what had been done had been done and the way out of this mess is the Division of this country no doubt

even if they gave the British more time the situation could have been worse on the long run, cause the northerners were the favorite of the British, the British wanted to leave Nigeria completely in the hands of northerners but the only barrier was northerners were not that educated , in fact because of the northerners lack of education, igbos and Yorubas were taking all the jobs meant for educated people when the British workers were leaving Nigeria after independence, the northerners were afraid of being dominated by igbos and Yorubas they were the first to agitate for a separate country of their own, while the igbos under zik wanted a unitary government the Yorubas under awo wanted a regional government
it was after oil was discovered in huge amount in the eastern Region that the northerners changed their minds and started fighting for same unitary government the were against
