Not going by the crowd? Are you sure of that? Trump is a bully and weak individual, who goes needs the constant adulation and praises of the crowd to feel as a man.

He adamantly refused to condemn the Capitol riot, until his Republican Senators sat him down and told him, if he doesn’t he will be impeached and they will also support the 25th...he cowardly went to make a halfhearted video condemning the riot, making many of his QAnon supporter becoming furious that he betrayed them.

He always feel insecure without the crowd and he can lie at anytime that, he have the biggest rally, biggest crowd ever in his inauguration.

If 17 Republicans senators stand up against him now, you will see how he will start shaking. He is doing this because, he knows there are not up to 17 GOP votes in the Senate to convict him.

Hence, he is looking for lawyers that will use the trial to parrot his ‘they stole the election from me’ lies. These lawyers are professionals, they prefer to give him a better defense about the constitutionality of not impeaching a former President and also defend him that, he did not cause the DC riots, but not having a common ground, they quit.

Trump is not a friend. Your friend will not insist you break the law to keep the friendship, he sees you as a tool and a means to an end and discards you, when you stop paying homage to him.
