There is no reprisal anywhere from north.

Fulanis can't stand any major tribe in Nigeria unless the Hausas join them. Now the Hausas tend to have waken up to their consciousness and it is coming from the south. No minority tribe in the north is willing again to be used to acquire power by proxy for the Fulanis elites. They know this and that is why they are presently helpless. The attack in the south is not a north versus south but specifically the marauding Fulanis herdsmen. Unfortunately this may have a collateral effects even on the law abiding Fulanis.

If there are ethnic groups that should understand Fulani agenda well, Yoruba is one of them having lost territory to them. Northerners, especially Hausa are another, having been conquered by them. However, if I tell you that I was not shocked in 2014 when I saw people from Benue, Southern Kaduna and some Yoruba campaigning to enthrone Fulani supremacy, I would be lying. I remember pointing out to the Benue lady the effect APC victory would have on her people in terms of increased genocide but she didn't seem to understand. We Africans should start having strategic insight and not live for our belle only. The reason Arabs and now Fulani are cutting wide swats in tears and blood from North Africa to the Congo basin is that we lack foresight. There are still good Fulani herdsmen, doing their business without causing harm to cultivations and human lives.
However, the infiltration of the good Fulani by the rogue ones that are killing people, kidnapping, destroying crops and causing trouble everywhere has made all cattle herders a bad choice to habitate with.

Cattle business is a big business.
