Glory: 3.5/4 stars

Ever had doubts about Washington's career, then watch him play a classic asshole. That scene where he was being flogged, I'm sure, clinched the Oscar for him.

The lead had no presence and the stellar supporting cast stole the spotlight from him.

In as much as it is historically accurate, I can't shake off the fact that this film is the pandering type, but due to the fact that it was well made, who cares?
