An African American Facebook user, Chris Norris and his wife Ka'shawndra have welcomed their first child after almost 17 years of trying, IgbereTV reports.

Chris, who shared the good news on Monday February 1, said their baby girl was born on January 27, 2021.

"After almost 17 years of trying to have a child, my wife & I welcomed a baby girl into this world. Patience Elise Norris 1/27/2021 our little Aquarius baby."

Sharing a photo of him gazing adoringly at his newborn daughter, he wrote;

"I didn't know what life was until you were born my twin. If feels too good to see what your mom and I made. We love you so much!"

His wife, on her part, said almost 17 years of trying makes all the tears worth it .

"The Most High words never come back void." she added.

The appearance of newborn can be completely different from how the baby would look at a slightly more advanced age
