Why Is The Oba Of Benin And Governor Obaseki Quiet About The Kidnappings In Edo by daclemx(op): 9:55am On Jan 31, 2021
Fellow Nigerians, the news I hear about kidnappings in Edo State and other parts of the country is frightening to say the least. But the one that catches my attention more is the spate of killings and kidnappings happening in Edo State and the fact that prominent personalities have kept mum.

Why Is The Oba of Bening Silent over the issues of kidnapping in the state?
What Is The Governor of Edo State doing to flush out these criminals?

It's been months since these kidnappings have been happening in the state. Yet, nothing tangible has been done. I would like to push this to front page so we can discuss this and call these leaders' attention. People of the state should also stand up and hold their leaders accountable. If they don't, they'll wake up one day and discover that they no longer have a place to call their home. God forbid!

Must everyone commit a crime then speak against it to the court of public opinion?

When one Edo man said it on infoFM the day before yesterday and said it was even more gruesome than what is happening in Oyo,I wondered why our governors and politicians are like this.Remember that Obaseki and Buhari are like brothers. grin
Edo people better fight and protect themselves.
The eastern govs who are not even in APC are the worst.Makinde too has somewhat been zombified.Everybody to himself. We have triumphed over the Fulanis.

Actually this thread was created by ignoramuses, the Oba of Benin had been on the forefront of the fight against any firm of banditry in Edo state, including kidnapping, cultism, CDA activity...
Why do morons just wake up one morning and start saying: " why is the Oba of Benin silent on this.." well he is not !

The same reason why the Alafin of oyo was silent about the atrocities going in Ibarapa, oyo state

The same reason why Aketi back-peddled on his earlier ultimatum to fulani headsmen in ondo state.

The reason is simple and not so far-fetched; self-preservation.

Our so-called traditional and political leaders don't really give a sh...it about us, as long as they and their extended family members are settled, financially. They are aware, the nation will soon implode and as such, they want to siphon as much of our collective wealth as they can, before the whole country goes belly up. Nigeria is broke and its just a matter of time before it goes into "liquidation".

Just as an example: do you know, the seriki of Igangan who had been tormenting the people of Ibarapa area for almost 2 decades was also the kidnappers intermediary and an appointee of the same Alafin of oyo?

One of the herdsmen that left igangan following Chief sunday Igboho's quit order was found in yewa village in ogun state. The villagers, having heard what transpired between the seriki and the people of igangan refused to allow him stay in their village. The herdsmen were 3 in number and their leader, one scrawny-looking guy said, they had the alafin's blessing to relocate in the village. Lo and behold, the man then made a call to the alafin. Same way the seriki have a direct line to the IGP, in abuja!

Obaseki is watching carefully, he can't act now until his supreme Court case clears (these demons with the Sharia jihadist don't mind removing him for ize iyamu which would do their bidding)

It is better he plays calm for the good of Edo in general while he unleashes afterwards.

Trust me he was one of the governors that kicked against Ruga.

It is the Oba that has done political that is my surprise, he has nothing to loose if he comes all out and galvanize the people.

If buhari makes pemp on his authority, Benin would revoult which we all want.

Instead he is playing political correctness as a member of Fulani quota royal fathers of Nigeria

Because they are both idiots just like the useless Obas of Yoruba land and Tinubu who have also been quiet about kidnapping in Yoruba land.

While you make these excuses, people are dying,
We don't want to accept it, but we have nothing in common with out so called elites,
Their children don't go to the same schools with ours, (most don't live in Nigeria) we don't use the same hospitals, we don't use the same electricity grid, they are on diesel 24/7, they might as well be governing strangers and slaves,
Very few want to admit Kanu got it right with ESN,
