Instead of thinking of ways to stop electric car production, so that our crude oil will be marketable. We are joining world powers. Last last, na NIGERIANS go suffer. Our naira will be tissue paper |

This is further ridiculing an already ridiculous country. 1.You don't have power supply 2. Your economy is practically surviving on sales of crude. 3. How are you going to charge the cars, with generators?? 4. When will you stop the importation of generation?? |

Until these people start making battery packs that are removable...forget it. It will be worse in Nigeria. You need to charge it too often you start to wish you could just fit in a new battery, leave the used one at home to charge and keep on moving. This is going to be very tough in Nigeria. I am talking from experience. Fine, you can get the charging pod installed in homes but still, the frequency at which you charge it even if it is overnight is just too much. Only when you start to think you are spending less than petrol or diesel is when you calm your mind down. You don’t spend as much time worrying about an ICE petrol or diesel car. Except you only want to drive a few minutes a day. |

Thats a good thing, but what is the range? if its up to 250 mile per charge then its fine, You dont need a constant power supply to charge an EV, 30 mins - 1hr is enough to change an EV, yes there is no electricity in Nigeria, but a lot of you should have installed solar panels by now if you can afford it, if you're still using Generator that's your fault, even Solar is the future of energy generation. Although Nigerian government should be able to give grants for solar panels since they can't solve the electricity issue in the country. |
Hyundai, unfortunately, This can only be for Atiku and his goons he campaigned to share our national treasury money to during his campaign, no wonder he lost the election woefully. When a number 2 citizen of a country has a company that import the largest number of generators into the country, how will they ever want us to have electricity? When the President of a country spent a colossal 16 BILLION DOLLARS on Power and no single watt was added. It became even worse than the electricity we had during the military regime he met on ground. Truth will always be bitter, but it has to be said. When a sitting president and vice President could start their own private universities while all the Government universities were on strike, (Just like Obama and Biden or Trump and Pence having private universities in America while their universities were on strike due to poor funding) what insolence could be more than that? The Foundation has been destroyed, we are not praising this government, ( we gave them just 65% overall so far) but our point that many people misunderstood here is that , IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE, If it continued the way our country was going in 2015, many of you wailing now, would have been eating from the dustbin by now. Things can only get better if we come together to build a new nation and leave out politics of bitterness in your hearts, even Jona has moved on. And they say; don't talk about it. Focus on the present and the future only. How we miss Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. He would have said: "I go shout o, I go shout plenty o." If we don't focus on the past, we are then liable to make the same mistakes. "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." (George Santayana).
Aptly written. Those 16yrs was a total disaster. Everyone of them who have ruled then should either be jailed or given a death sentence. Even the one ruling now isn't devoid of the blame, too. People are still doing the same thing that the 16 yrs wasted people did, which is looting. I want to know the most improved area this present Government can boast of. Nigeria has to be great, but no capable leader to do that. |

PropaMan:I like your optimism. It takes a lot of planning and dedication to allocate 30 mins to 1 hour for charging every 200 miles. This is at high powered rapid charges. The common fast chargers you can charge overnight because it takes 7 to 8 hours. |

Look at those illiterates up there shouting Nigeria does not have electricity. Okay agreed. The filling stations where you have been buying fuel uses what Solar![]() All that needs to be done is for a company that has vision to get its EV station in the major cities first and before you know it, it will be everywhere. Every filling station in Nigeria uses a generator. Certainly, there will be a way to get EV stations directly to consumers. Nigerians are funny. So you think Hyundai will go into spending such amount without doing proper research. After buying data less than $1, they feel they know more than a multi-billion dollar company. Modafuk........ |
