We just spent $50k celebrating someone who said he assembled an electric car that only costs $35k. After that we will go to the government and tell them to suspend lowering import duty for everyone else so we can continue to import our own cars to sell for free. Don't we all see that every time there is talk on reduced import duty, those who import for free seem to immediately assemble one useless car for demo and start crying for continued high import duty on every other Nigerian. We only test run our capability to assemble cars with 1 car that is not a high seller. Not Elantra, Rio but Kona. Then we start having the most sensible argument on how the job of the 5 temp workers who installed the fender on the semi assembled car should be save to keep the economy going while a lot of economic activities is being move to our neighboring country. |
