Kanu is far less likely to apologise to any Fulani-slave king in Igboland, so they are obviously different. That doesn't make Kanu or IGBOho bad. They have their own styles and they have to operate within the confines of what is acceptable culturally in their respective terrains.
Yorubas are extremely hierarchical, almost to the extent that A KING DOES NO WRONG. This perspective is slightly less rigid in Igboland, because every Igboman believes he's the king of his own castle. Of course Igbo kings get a level of respect, but it is limited, compared to Yoruba reverence for their kings.
