StaffofOrayan:
Oh so you knew there was an option of referendum?
One the one hand you are saying having a separate country won't be bad, on the other hand you are saying Nigeria would never break,

A lot of you don't even know where your brainwashing is coming from, 60 years on and as minimal development as possible,

These are the same idiots that treated their citizens like human beings telling us this country they created won't be divided, have you ever asked why?? Or is too hard to think about
Stop dillydallying and crying over spilled milk. I asked you to pitch your idea to us and not bringing British British as a deviation.

I don't give a bleep about Britain so stop digressing by mentioning them.

Answer the question in my former reply OR accept that you are directionless and all just talk without action!

But don't delude yourself into thinking for a moment this current herdsmen crisis would lead to the collapse of this administration or the Nigerian state by extension. Heck, the entire North (including Buhari's own state), is being overrun by bandits, kidnappers and boko haram for close to a decade.

This comment scares the hell out of me,
What type of brainwashing is this?
We have been rated the poorest set of people,
Some of the most terrorized set of people,
Dilapidated schools that don't work half the time,
Bad roads and horrible Healthcare,
Insurgency was predicted to last for another 20years by Buratai,

Have you ever wondered what Yoruba land would look like in 50 years? Are you capable of doing that?

FlyoruB:
Yimu. It's like the 'Oranyan' you added to your moniker is deceiving you into thinking that you are more Yoruba than the rest of us. I know you are a Kanu fanboy so your thinking pattern is very predicable. But you need to understand that Yorubas are not sheep (like the supleme ruler/dilector's igbo followers) that would donate their brains to anyone to lead them astray. Not even the revered Awolowo, in his element, could be said to have always enjoyed the complete political support of the entire yoruba race during his political sojourn - - he always had opposition.

So for your mind, you think Sunday Igboho would be walking around freely today of it weren't for the tacit support/influence of some yoruba political actors who prefer to remain in the background? Or in your deluded mind you think it's his charms that are keeping him from getting picked up like Sowore or Kanu were.

Sunday is a 'child of necessity' borne out of the failure and collapse of the entire security apparatus of Nigeria, and unfortunately the cancer he's fighting enjoys overt support from a biased and incompetent Buhari, hence the widespread support he's enjoying all across the SW and beyond.

But don't delude yourself into thinking for a moment this current herdsmen crisis would lead to the collapse of this administration or the Nigerian state by extension. Heck, the entire North (including Buhari's own state), is being overrun by bandits, kidnappers and boko haram for close to a decade.

Yorubas are the only region in the south whose political leadership put aside political differences (in the face of hostile FG) and showed enough resolve to establish a security outfit (Amotekun) to tackle the herdsmen menace, so don't create the false impression and narrative that efforts weren't made by the political class to address the problem. Obviously Amotekun wasn't well-equipped to deal with the problem, but that's not coz efforts weren't made in that direction.

What land do you speak of? Which land has been taken? By whom? Or are you referring to the forests where the criminal Fulanis were hiding and are now being flushed out of? Look, any Nigerian can lawfully purchase and own land in any part of Nigeria, including Yorubaland, and that includes foreigners and law-abiding Fulanis. That practice has been happening before you and I were born. What Fulanis are being asked to do is to vacate our forests and come live in towns and cities like everyone else, that way the criminals can be separated from the 'innocent' ones. And to start buying land where they can rear their cattle without grazing on people's farms and destroying crops. Do you have a problem with that?

Guy, no one is saying you should not agitate for secession, but you will be foolish to think you can achieve that without the buy-in of the same yoruba political class that you are fond of castigating. And if you are so sure of yourself and the popularity of your secessionist position, I challenge you to go and run for political office to replace those same people you consider incompetent to lead the political affairs of the race, and drive your secession agenda. And instead of sharing garri and rice during your political campaigns, you can share mercedes benz and plots of land instead.

Well, I am not an APC member so I won't take offence to that 'stupid' comment of yours, but if you no like APC, join PDP and support them with your full chest instead of disguising.

Ki gangan ni colour problem e iwo bobo yi? Your solution to the Nigerian problem is secession, for me it is disintegration. There is a difference between the two concepts. But until either of the two scenarios play out, Yorubas cannot afford to isolate themselves from Nigeria's political mainstream.

Currently, no single region can successfully secede from the Nigerian state all by itself; that's just a fact that's backed by history. The igbos tried it in '66 and they were humiliated and are yet to fully recover from the political consequences of that (mis) adventure up till today.

The entire system will eventually collapse (disintegrate) because it was built on a faulty foundation. But some Yorubas are pragmatic enough to work with what they have at the moment, in spite of its faults. You can keep agitating for secession, same way many before you have been agitating for restructuring long before you were born. Either of both outcomes would be fine by me, but until then, Yorubas must not play isolationist politics, but rather an inclusive and pragmatic politics that'll ensure that their race will be present at the centre table whenever important decisions that have the potential of affecting their region are being made.
Re: Femi Fani-kayode: The Enemy Within – A Final Warning To Nigerians by StaffofOrayan(m): 9:51pm On Feb 05, 2021
"" You can be in denial as much as you want, you can support them all you care, but when it comes to supremacy, the Northerners believe they are superior to everyone else. There is fire on the mountain and it’s trickling down, believe it or not it would consume you. I am deeply worried”.

"These large groups of fearsome and well-armed Fulani men that gather quietly in various parts of our towns and cities are actually sleeping armies and terrorist cells."

"When the signal is given over the airwaves Nigerians will be shocked by the speed with which they will act and swing into action and by the sophisticated weapons that they will suddenly spring out of nowhere."

"The carnage that they will unleash on our civilian population will be far worse than the mass murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide that was perpetuated in Rwanda by the Hutus against the Tutsis or that was witnessed in the Nigerian civil war."

"The only part of the country that is not prepared for them and ready for this fight is the South West. Others are ready and they are silently tooling up. Sadly we in the south west are still just talking. Worse of all is that we have no means of defending ourselves, no unity and no commonality of purpose. We are badly divided and we are not sensitive to the grave dangers that lie ahead."

The truth is that we must prepare ourselves now in order to be able to defend our people when the attacks come and the pogroms begin. We must be physically, spiritually, psychologically and emotionally ready for this fight otherwise we will all perish.

The key word is WHEN not IF

"President Muhammadu Buhari & his Fulani Government are now disarming Nigerians and, by executive order, he has banned ALL licensed weapons. Why do you think he has done this? It is not rocket science to figure out what is really going on. Buhari’s intentions are as obvious as they are malevolent."

" He also set up a Fulani radio station which they will use to activate their sleeper cells and sleeping army in the south west and indeed all over the country when they are ready to effect their final onslaught and implement their “final solution”."

Mrs. Abimbola Adelakun, a brilliant writer, wrote the following in her column in the Punch Newspaper on May 23rd. “….You would have noticed that since the present administration started, almost all the vociferous voices that yelled against one thing or the other in the past administrations have virtually gone mute. Their silence is not a coincidence; these former social advocates have been browbeaten by the inveighing forces of Fulanisation /Islamisation that demand conformity from everyone to enable a perpetuation of its power.

Don't be one of those people who have decided to be silent,

This regulation of compliance takes several forms, but one of the most obvious is the cult of silence that pervades southwestern Nigeria despite the invasion of the region by herdsmen. There is a conspiratorial silence not to see or speak.

From state governors to even the so-called Yoruba leaders, people are more invested in playing the politics of I-remain-loyal rather than calling out Fulani herdsmen for the atrocities they are committing. These elders and leaders are maintaining a posture of self-censure and looking away from the unfolding anarchy because to speak up is to risk jeopardising certain privileges.

Just look at the number of people who will rather criticise Obasanjo than speak up against the conditions of insecurity that we face.

“Let the president know that the Yoruba do not want war, but we will definitely defend ourselves should these instances of unprovoked attacks by the Fulani continue.
The Fulani cannot subjugate the rest of the peoples of Nigeria, rather, the reverse will be the case to the detriment of the innocent Fulani!

That the Yoruba people collectively will hold on strongly and steadfastly to these resolves in as much as our collectively survival rests on us and on no one else; the leaders, elders and the generality of our people, for the common cause to confront all challenges of insecurity including genocide. That those not in support of these resolves shall be considered traitors to the cause and will be treated as such.”

The Yoruba Summit Group have spoken the minds and voiced the thoughts of 50 million Yorubas spread all over the world. The handful of Yorubas that do not share their view will soon appreciate the folly and grave dangers of collaborating with the enemy and swimming against a rising, hostile and dangerous tide of anger, resentment and dissent from their own people.

The last bolded part is very important, Tinubu would soon fall into that category, mark my words

would it collapse on all our heads?
We already know it will collapse,
The question is would it collapse like Sudan or like Brexit?

We both know the answer and we are slowly but surely getting there, it's like a crazy descent into an avoidable doom, we know we are being led there but we keep following, do you really believe there are terrorist cells in the SW?

MayorofLagos:
Good input.

1. I agree on Akeredolu and his role.
2. I disagree on the other points. Below is why.

Are you aware that the leadership of the fulanis that disturb our villages are educated? They are not young in age, usually old and educated. Those that are not, like seriki fulani..all his sons are graduates with degrees. Any fulani leading a resettlement plan in Yorubaland is educated or has sons that are educated and live with him on the land. I almost want to say education is a pre-requisite to appoint a seriki over herders or a warlord over terrorists. All must be card carrying and registered member of miyetti allah to earn the trust to lead an occupying force. Have you ever seen an UNeducated miyetti allah behind microphone and video? cheesy
There are lawyers... who are registered and participating members of miyetti allah.

Fulani action on our land is choreographed and intended. The choreographer is miyetti allah and they do grant press interview and public announcement.

We underestimate and dismiss them as uneducated and thus less harmful than us educated Yorubas.

Using our education we have abrogated to ourselves the right to sophisticated existence and civilized approach to the environment and sorrounding. To us Yoruba, in mannerism and attitude, he who has education owns the privilege to dictate the order of society and manage its affairs.

Anyone without education, or perceived so, is brushed off as a waste of our attention and time. We do not imagine such simpleton can harm us. To be educated is to be powerful and capable. If you dont have education, you are opposite, not powerful and not capable. Hence we let our guards down around fulani herders.

The herders are not educated, but their leadership is. Those who arm them and provide them with logistics, they are in your FG, in Police, in Army, in Air Force, in Customs, in Immigration, in Ports Authority, in Airports...

Look at the make up of the Directors of these agencies and security forces, what do you see?

We underestimate their capabilities and far reaching agenda. There is a synergy of purpose between the educated fulani and the uneducated fulani. There is nothing like a innocent fulani.

Tally all the people killed in South by fulani terrorists in forest, add to those killed by fulani herdsmen on farms, add to those killed by dangote trucks, add to killings by police and army on our streets, you will get the full picture.

On their part, these people do not underestimate Yoruba.

All educated Yorubas abandon village life. The people in village are mostly uneducated, or under-educated. You will not find an educated Baale in Abule. So our own leadership in village are uneducated and under-educated and if they have educated sons they are in city. Meanwhile they live with fulani leadership who are educated or sorrounded by educated sons.

If the Yoruba premise and world view that education confers superiority is correct and true, then it should not be difficult to understand why fulani has upper hand in our forests, villages and sorroundings. They have usurped powers from our Baales and they run village govt, they order our society. Its order will be nothing shorter than fulanization. Seriki fulani of Lagos is not more innocent than seriki fulani of Igangan. I will not be surprised to discover they communicate as brothers and comembers of miyetti allah.

They have used football league and premier league to distract us and sneak in. While we brand ourselves Arsenal and Manchester in the city, fulani in the forest brand our people with foreign culture. They now have a Gaa Salihu, Gaa Wakili...in our fatherland!

I will talk on Igboho in a different post. He is my hero, and I hate to discuss him in the midst of a talk about animals. grin
Unfortunately, the rural population is higher than urban population. If the rural population is powerless before these Fulani thieves, then there's a problem indeed.

With this statement maybe you do not perceive the growing resentment of the Fulanis among the pure Hsusas in the north.
It is well

When we get to that bridge, we will cross it. But what I am almost certain about is that Nigeria's collapse will not necessarily happen by armed struggle akin to the Biafran war. The world has evolved beyond the point where a 40+ million strong homogeneous ethnicity like the Yorubas, with well-defined regional and contiguous borders would sit back like sitting ducks and watch itself be overrun by a bunch of ragtag and rampaging jihadist, terrorists or what have you. It won't happen. If they have sleeper cells in our midst, we are also imbued with native intelligence mechanisms that are capable of neutralizing such threat on short notice. There are certain sensitive strategies that I prefer not to discuss on an open forum such as this one. But suffice to say that the capabilities and architecture are already on ground, they only require (discreet) activation.

We Christians from the middle belt states of Plateau, Benue, Nasarawa and Kaduna states have been crying for ages without help.
We told them this war is an Islamic agenda, a war against the church and Christianity. Our brethren from the south never cared, now the war is right in their domain.
Go to Borno, Bauchi, Adamawa, Kebbi, Niger and see what Christians face there. The time for praying and waiting for miracles is over. We must arise and form a powerful alliance to combat these terrorist, blood sucking Islamic Fulani jihadists.
Evil cannot prevail, we must conquer. The gates of hell shall not prevail.
This is exactly why the Crusaders arose in the 11th Century to push back the Invading Muslims who were doing the work of Satan's Son-Muhammad.
