Tell us d process of getting admission in those schools whether it is "easy to apply and get admission into".

It does not require any special skill to apply for lower ranked universities in the US. As for Nigeria, the only hold up is that the university admissions system requires one to apply for only one university at a time. But if it came down to the admission criteria, once you get an ordinary 200 in JAMB and 6 credits, there's no local university you cannot apply for and get admission into. Some will even be sending you letters of admission even if you did not apply; just to fill their quota and justify their budget.

I were one of the young graduates or undergrads here who wishes to pursue career in any of the USA schools, I'd just grab this and thank the girl for the relief . This one na expo , effortless. No need to search for uni in USA any further . These ones are more than enough.

But where are the likes of Havard , Michigan, UCLA, etc?

Ist bolded. I am not interested in reapplying through jamb to schools I have no interest in getting into just to prove a point to you. What kind of argument is that? Admission criteria is what you have to fulfill to gain admission. I do not see any university on her list which requires above average admission criteria. The only thing her list proves is that she is a time waster and poor decision maker. Why else would anyone apply to 50 universities? Pick the top 3 you would actually want to go to, and apply...that's what normal people who are not looking for online likes do.

2nd bolded; exceptional SAT scores for a start, outstanding communication skills, evidence of exceptional past achievements, top IQ levels, evidence of continuous academic excellence throughout high school, outstanding character references. They are called Ivy League schools for a reason.

Because it is an absolute truth that bottom power can get you to places in Nigeria.

Efforts + Good parenting + Working system = success (in the west)

Efforts + Good parenting + Rotten system = Failure (in Nigeria)

Enough successful candidates in WASC/NECO or Jamb that have been unable to get their dream course to study in their most admired higher institution in the country. A lot now have to go to such countries like Ghana and Ukraine to study medicine because not knowing people/personalities means they couldn't get admission into Nigerian schools.

Even when you manage to get yourself your dream qualification, getting employment is another conundrum, another cup of tea entirely. If you can bribe/sleep with someone to secure employment or know someone who is high up there, it's mostly OYO for you.

1. No effort + bad parenting + good system = potential failure.

2. No effort + bad parenting + bad system = potential failure.

3. Good effort + good parenting + bad system = potential success.

4. Good effort + good parenting + good system = potential success.

There are exceptions off course! May we never find ourselves in position 2.
