However advice sometimes is susceptible to wisdom, critical thinking and knowledge of a subject matter.
I've seen some way younger persons advice me on some certain investment deals though they don't control or have any related investment or venture to what they correctly advised me on that turned out positive and effective.

A bricklayer that cannot design a building is not an engineer no matter the decades of experience and a lecturer in faculty of engineering who has never practiced will have problems unless guided.

By your logic no man can be an expert in obstetrics and gynaecology
A person must have HIV to counsel those with HIV
Social workess must have been prisoners to work with prisoners

Your analogy of engineer is funny and has no logical connection with your argument
Often the problem is very shallow logic and superficial thinking

Marriage is not the only area in life where there is counselling of a professional kind
It requires training and where appropriate certification/qualification
There are counsellors in health,social work , prison , etc
Soldiers go to war and develop PTSD for which they get psychological help and counselling. The qualification for such jobs is not that you must have fought a war yourself
You do not need to be an orphan to counsel or support an orphan child

Can a single lady teach a married woman how to handle a drunkard husband? All they can say is she should divorce him, yet an older married woman who's been through the same experience might be able to give advice that can save the marriage.
