Teaching requires a lot of patience. Sometimes you tell a student to stretch his hands for flogging, he'll be wasting time, you won't know when you give him all over his body.

It's just that the world is changing and many things that were upheld before are no longer acceptable.
I don't support wickedness.

Actually, we were beaten worst than this way back in the school. It did not kill us, rather it straightened our ways. Made us align to discipline and even stronger.
In Africa, we accept beating and flogging children to correct their wrong doings. That has made African children to be more disciplined than our Western counterparts. It's just that bad governance and poverty have made us feel that the Western countries are better than us in discipline.

Their own way of not beating a child made their children to behave anyhow knowing that there is a strong law backing their stupidity.
If there is a good reason in which ur child was flogged in the school, pls don't go scolding the teacher unless if it has bn established that the teacher is just in fond of brutalizing kids. It's not easy to handle kids.
Mine have couple of times told me how their teachers flogged them. After asking why they were flogged, I will talk to them and ask them to avoid anything that will make a teacher to flog them. I reminded them that as I will flog them at home so do the teachers also have the right to flog them wen they misbehave in school.

I can't raise a child that will respect me at home and disrespect his/her teacher in the school.

As much as I don't hold brief for the teacher, before anyone crucifies him/her, however, note well that managing/closely relating with someone with special needs is always psychologically exhausting worse when still a pupil/juvenile one like in this case. It takes more than being a teacher to manage them, and no matter how altruistic you're towards them, once in a while, they will wittingly or unwittingly provoke you to the extent of losing your tolerance and temper to give them a dose of their medicine, like in this case, in order to regain your strength and peace to continue managing them again with love. More so, it always helps them to sit up too, albeit temporarily; they do need it, the pains they suffer in such a scenario notwithstanding.

And a scenario like this is the reason why normally they're usually sent to schools meant for them specially, where the teachers who understand their nature and have an affinity for them voluntarily manage them. So, in this stance where he wasn't sent to school meant for people with special needs like him, one should understand the teacher's plight - even though he could do better.

An autistic Child needs a therapist and not a normal Bachelor of education holder alone or any other qualification.
They need someone who is trained in that particular field
They need someone with patience and not otherwise.
I actually had an encounter with one today in my school, I was asked to do fittings for her complete set of uniform and it was quite frustrating.... something that didn't take me 5min too do for other kids, hers took me more than an hour�if not for love of kids aarrrh!!! I know lie I for beat her.
