People buy cars closer to the Port.. If the Port is far away that is another Towing expenses you looking at .. And another thing is finding Tow truck in that area .. Most auction yard will give you about 3days or two days or so to pick up ur car .. Failure to do that you are looking at daily storage fees been charge to your account......
yes.. and a lot of southern states are port states

we are here to learn so let me educate you guys .. if you are going to drive a car in the USA , you need license to drive , the car must be insured., register and you will need a plate .. .. so dumb ones( am guilty of it ) will take a plate from their car and put it on the car that is going to the port .. the risk here is if the cop pulls you over and reads the plate . if the plate information does not march what you are driving .. the car will seize and you will be given a citation and a fine which will affect your driving record .... so because you trying to save $150 or more , you end up paying more money plus inconvenience .. and some cars are not worthy , even though they look it..........

another option is a dealers plate .. you will need to find someone that has a dealer plates to drive the car to the port . and you will have to find your way back after dropping it off at the port , unless you ask someone to pick you up at the port . the cost to rent a dealers plate varies , but it will cost nothing less than $100.00 now if your name is not authorize on the dealer plate and you get pull over or get into an accident . the real owner of the dealer plate will get a citation.. the dealer plates are meant for drivers that are under that plate ... to save headache time and money better to get a towing truck
if you're buying from the auction you probably already have a dealer license and plates...

Guys, if you're driving on a road demarcated with two yellow lines in the middle, for example, Awolowo rd in Ikoyi or Bode Thomas street in Surulere, please never you overtake another car by crossing the yellow lines, as it will be tantamount to wrongful overtaking and subsequently counted as driving one-way if you're caught by LASTMA or police.
If you want to overtake a slow moving vehicle in front of you, try as much as possible to keep to your own side of the line without crossing it. Lagos State officials are cashing out on violators when caught. Always lookout for these little traps and save yourself money you would have used in bailing your car out of their hands.

if you're buying from the auction you probably already have a dealer license and plates...

An applicant for Dealer Plates must be engaged principally and substantially in the business of buying, selling, or exchanging motor vehicles or trailers and maintain a facility dedicated to carrying on that business.

Each state dealers plates requirement varies from state to state. But generally the rules applies that you have a physical business facility that sells cars etc a physical address.....

I don't have dealer plates to bid at an auction .. I have an export license to bid for cars. It does not mean I automatically have a dealer plate..... Some auctions are specifically are for dealers only.. Than you can get dealers plate ....

So they gave you an antibiotic, pain suppressor, immune builder/anti-inflammatory and steroid.

While it's good information, truth is your doctor didn't know what to do so he focused on just trying to make you more comfortable and supporting your immune system grin. You defeated it all on your own and probably would have without this. You are one of the lucky ones genetically resistant to it. Believe it or not the most helpful thing to you on that list was the vitamin c followed by the steroid then the pain suppressor. The antibiotic had zero effect on a virus.

Side bar: a lot of people here are reporting that after recovering from loss of taste and smell, they can no longer stand the taste of eggs. Is that the case for you? Supposedly something changes and eggs now taste horrible after recovery. Olorun ma je!

yes, but if you're buying from most auctions you need a license or are using someone with one and so dealer plates are a given. Speaking from years of first hand experience. Unless you are talking about public auctions in which case you are overpaying AND getting the worst cars.

I buy from co parts with my own export license from Nigeria.. And some bidding on co parts are exclusively for dealers only ........

The bottom line of the discussion is someone ask why can't I just drive the car to the port instead of towing .. I will need a dealer plates for that.. And for u to have a dealer plate . you will need a physical address that sells cars to get .. Just like a lot of people do . they use their export license to bid on cars on coparts .... Just like any auction it is try ur luck . you might good deals or bad 1 na 50/50
