I called them today. They claim they are still uploading. That's very difficult to believe.

Xhaka100:
The problem is they don't even tell us what's happening. I already sent them an email, expecting a reply this week.

The real test is not hard at all. My strategy for READING was to attempt section 1 first, then section 3 and lastly section 2. I used this strategy during my practice and had already mastered it before the examination. I spent about 40mins on section 3 because it's the most tough section and it contains a lot of technical jargons. I used just about 15 minutes on both section 1 and 2. At the end of the day, its all about what works best for you. Had a 7.5 in reading but I fell I could have scored better if I went through my answers before the end of the test.

Just practice, practice and practice. Best of luck

Please I need your digits

What I learnt from writing IELTS, might work for other persons.

Listening

1. Try to understand the questions as quick as possible.

2. Quickly underline keywords from the answer options.

3. To deal with the map, look thoroughly at the map and label it - Northwest, opposite, adjacent, etc.

4. Also for the map, you can write out the number i.e. 15, 16, 17, blabla and try to write down whatever you hear for each question. You will probably be able to locate this after a second check.

5. For the multiple-choice questions, cancel out options saying entirely the opposite of what is asked.

6. For the 3rd section, one that normally asks who does what, they'll most likely paraphrase the answer, so looking entirely at the answer might not really help, try jot down what you hear. You will easily find the synonymous option afterwards.

7. When you devote yourself entirely to the question, you will most likely not get bored.

8. Don't forget to check out for subsequent questions, that way, you will prevent losing out on many other questions.

Reading

1. For the T/F/NG question type, try as much as possible to do away with any prior knowledge on the topic under discussion, answer solely on what you read.

2. Quickly underline your answers, with the question number written beside it. You can more likely detect "NG" using that format and be sure of whatever option you have chosen.

3. Never hesitate to run away from a question that is causing you headache, you might see it clearer at other times of asking.

4. For the matching heading, two or more options might seem like it, try as much as possible to identify the option that is more comprehensive. No two options will wholly answer a question, and IELTS can be very detailed with their illustrations.

5. For the questions that ask "who or what does what", try to look out for the name from the passage to establish the answer. I mean no need answering based on checking whatever they have done, looking at the year, the person, the thing or whatever will help you figure out what the answer is.

Writing

1. Download the sample answers, and see how they are built.

2. Give two or more reasons to buttress your ideas.

3. Try to determine your points, direction etc before writing anything.

4. Allow time for profreading and don't write unnecessarily long words. That prevents you from making more mistakes.

Speaking

1. Just try to practise. I am not the best to give advise on this. I never scored more than band 7. Ebo le.

Good day. I noticed you mentioned GCE during your evaluation. My wife is using her GCE certificate as well. Currently, we are in the process of creating our EE profile and she’s confused on whether to use the secondary school she attended or the school she wrote her GCE exam in her profile. I’ll appreciate your help. Thanks

Hi, WES no longer request WAEC and the rest. Just evaluate your Degree certificates.
