I just got Redmi 9t .. the apps that came with it are not updating via google play store.. it keeps rotating showing “Download Pending” I have used WiFi and mobile network and is still not going.. the worst is that is also not downloading new apps via same play store ...it just writes “waiting for download” and keeps rotating like that ... browsers are going using WiFi and mobile network but once I enter play store downloading and updating keeps rotating like that... please guys help me with relevant information. Thank you so much guys.. it has been rectified.. google services was not fully optimized during setup due to bad network. Everything is working perfectly now.. I’m enjoying the phone now ... I sincerely appreciate your help.. thank you

Show screenshot of it. Many people won't believe you.

Go to applications under settings
Look for google play services
Click for force stop
Do same for google play store
Restart your phone
Done...that should fix it

Clear cache of play store app

I'm using the same phone and I didn't experience issue. I guess you should do what some posters adviced above

go to apps,click show system apps
look for download manager and clear cache
na that download manager dey download things for phones
check if it has. been tampered with and correct it
or just reset system app preferences, shikena

Clear cache and uninstall updates of the Google play store in your app list.
Lot of people have been complaining about app update on some latest phones.

I started using this phone last night and I didn't experience what you are experiencing. Downloaded WhatsApp, Livescore, trucaller, and many apps. The phone is good and very fast.

You're experiencing a slower network OP. It took that long because it's auto-updating Google Play Services!

My brother there’s a way we reason over here , we prefer to pay extra cash to a trusted source than doing penny wise .., after all the difference can’t be more than 5k .. which is almost nothing... when they do you for lagos you will understand better

I dey tell you about sellers that you'll still go to their shop and get the phone and a fair amount to them that offer pay on delivery in Lagos or someone like getbizy that directly works with Xiaomi.
