Most east africa countries have good roads - it very hard to find a pothole in major highways. I have NEVER seen a pothole in Rwanda. In Uganda all the major roads do not have potholes. In kenya potholes are very rare on all major highways.

The roads are towns are dualized - coz there is traffic. The roads in hilly areas have extra climbing lane for slow trucks.

West Africa and Central Africa is something else. The infrastructure is completely decayed - and nearly all roads look like ugly with overgrown grass and bushes.

Please check LPI - logistic performance index - so you know if you're completely broken down dual roads are functioning or not.

In kenya - it takes 24hours to drive from Mombasa to Malaba - and even Kampala...distance of 2,000 kilometers in a truck.

In Nigeria - we heard of 78 days - a truck from Lagos port by the time it reaches Abuja will be weeks.
