Hello nairalanders. I'm moving into Benin-City in less than a weeks time, and I'm desperately in need of a self-contain accomodation around Boundary road or Adesuwa road within GRA as it's close to my work place, and also said to have regular power supply and quite serene than the rest of Benin-city.

Please what's the total package for a self-contain house rent around these 2 areas, agency inclusive?

Your responses would be very helpful and much appreciated.

What you need to do is get into the city and budget like two days hotel bills then get 1 or 2 agents number. I can assure you that if your money is complete you will get house you like within that 2 days

Hmmm, nice one. I'm even going to check one out by 7pm. Na just self-contain going for 170, with 20%agency fees go make am 204k.

Is this not a rip off for a self contain? Or na cause sey na GRA?

If you can afford it and if it’s within your budget and ticks all the right boxes, sure. Na only outskirts and local areas houses for they cheap

So in a nutshell you mean the self-contain dey reasonable for that 204k total package?

Omo it’s expensive sha especially the agent percentage try and negotiate that. Have you gone to check out the place?

Hmmm, shey you go help me out then? Na this GRA I just want ooo. Or does Sapele road have as much light as GRA for Boundary road? How many hours light Sapele road dey get?

Apologies I can’t confirm the light situation at sapele road. Two years ago when I was at PZ it was very average but I don’t know about now. The only place i heard their light is stable right now is at Oghoghobi, pardon my spelling. But houses right there now are expensive, a 3bdr flat is up to 450-500k. Just get another agent sha.
