How ex-Lagos Governor LK Jakande died, by sons

Family members recall his last moment

Second Republic Lagos State Governor Lateef Kayode Jakande passed on peacefully on Thursday.

He was never ill, his children and family members who relived his last moment said.

Jakande’s children Deji, a former member of the House of Representatives and Seyi, recalled his last 24 hours on earth in separate interviews with our correspondents.

According to them, Jakande, who was governor on the platform of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday.

Deji said: ”We thank God for his life. He was not sick. He took his pap and crayfish yesterday. He was still reading his newspapers without glasses.

“We had stopped visitors from going to him because of COVID-19 because he liked shaking hands with people.

it's babies food, bcuz there's no much nutrient in ordinary pap. what ever is good for babies can also be good for the aged ones

But the question that comes to mind now is - who is an old man? 55, 60, 70, 80 yrs?

Generally, Body differs, some get weak and very old at 60s, some 70 to 80s, orthers 90 to 100s.
Aging is normally a function of gene and lifestyle.

For me, any one in their 80s is very old. My relation was mid 80s and had history of hard stooling even as a young man. You know, most things one battles often as a young man, could become endemic at older ages.

Generally, if you work out more, eat more of plant protein n veggies from your 40s and re a happy and fulfilled as a result of leading a purposeful life. You will age well and enjoy old age better.

So for me, one should seek purpose n God in life, you will be well prepared for old age, no one controls in totality what old age brings.
