radautoworks:Resale value is based on the fact that there is a huge market and demand for used Asian cars in the third world. For a user who is not worried about trade-in value like me it make no difference to me since I intend to own for a long time. The money I save in principal and interest upfront is more that trade in value after 9 years of ownership Remember I have never taken it to the shop/ dealership since warranty ran out in the second year.
