Nigeria is not ready for Democracy. Democracy is a sham in Nigeria. Military rule in disguise. Our constitutional right has been trampled upon. Unfair treatments are being mete out to innocent citizens. Thunder fire our heartless leaders.

yorubarere:I'm not sure what you mean by terrorists. But i'm sure you'll agree protesters can't simply be labelled terrorists simply because you don't like them. It may be your turn to protest tomorrow. Besides, can you quote the part of the law that empowers police to shoot terrorists? Just asking for a law student here. |

uptimum123:You are not alone, I hope the hoodlums' return to the toll gate and get arrested and thrown in jail for months and if possible for years. They think we are have amnesia and already forgotten how they created chaos, looting, stealing, burning, destruction and anarchy they created, never again, never ever again. If they are tired of Nigeria, they have every right and freedom to relocate and leave Nigeria for the rest of Nigeria. |

The same policemen that are being arrested by hisbah police in the north are arresting people for protesting. Terrorists and bandits who have killed millions of Nigerians including Nigerian soldiers are being granted amnesty and settled while people who are fighting for justice are being jailed. We cannot continue to deceive ourselves, we need to go our separate ways and yoruba youths need to start facing the so called useless yoruba elders, chieftains, political leaders. We need to start flogging these useless people who are only interested in their selfish interest. |

The headline supposed to be" Police charged Debo Adebayo aka macaroni, a Yoruba man who wanted to destroy Lagos." But wait ooo, I thought it is only Igbos that want to destroy Lagos by protesting.... The foolish assumptions of lazy Yoruba youths. Tufiakawa |

yorubarere:Yoruba buruku not every Yoruba is an arijenidibaje. Stop using ethnicity to label people. I'm sure majority if not all of those 40 are actually Yorubas so I don't know how this becomes an Igbo matter. |

JidennaJason:-One of the reasons why his country, Britain, made him their “Lord” was his exploit in making you a Nigerian. But as someone who is deeply acculturated to feel inferior, you and your likes still acknowledges his “title”. Smh |

The first picture in the OP suggests Mr Macaroni was beaten and/or humiliated in another way. The only fault for which the police can detain them is the violation of the lockdown and social distancing laws. |

Tolexander:One day it's not as far as it looks again. Before we all know it,2022 is here and Buhari starts being a lame duck president;by 2023 he is out of office and I bet you the atrocities that man is committing would come open one way or the other. The one thing keeping him in office and covering all the harm he has done is the fear of what the "almajiris" when lit with a matchstick and herded in a particular direction can do, especially when told it's because he(Buhari) is defending Islam is the reason he is being hounded by other people. |

Book Haram are getting presidential pardon, while peaceful protesters who demands nothing than their rights are been punished unjustly. Which way Nigeria! which way!! |

Agboriotejoye:We all have constitutional rights to protest, but not to create any kind of destructive atmosphere or trample on the rights and privileges other Nigerians are blessed with under the Nigerian constitution. You can not block a major roadway in the name of protest and in the process impede or deny other Nigerians their freedom of movement and ability to run their day to day affairs and even disrupt business and commercial activities, you don't have that right. If you want to protest, see protest permits and stage your protest in a park or other locations instead of forcing your issues on law abiding Lagosians, you don't get to bully us or guilt trip us or even play on our emotions or sentiments. That road belong to Lagosians, not to the social media attention seeking and lawless people parading around calling themselves protesters. Your desire and rights to protest doesn't mean my rights to freedom of movement and engage in lawful commerce is beneath yours. |
