Someone nudged someone and a few days later 11 people are dead and 5,000 more homeless. Someone please explain to me how human beings are superior to other animals?

Blame it on the useless commander in chief. The country has been in chaos and he'd neither make statement to calm the situation not directly try to solve things.

When a country is headless or the leader is technically dead, this is the type of things that go on unabated in the society.

Yorubas are the most accommodating people in Nigeria. But never take their simplicity for weakness. Ilorin was a mistake, the enemy's mission was underrated. Never again will it happen.
If it starts hmmmmmmmm.

My take is this . The endsars protest should not have ended the way it did . Government should have found a peaceful way of solving it . Now people have been exposed to the fact that they can get away with a lot of things because of our abysmal security infrastructure.

Out of 100 culprits , probably 10 or 20 will be arrested and the rest will be free to cause further mayhem .

The fuse of the bomb Nigeria has been sitting on has been lit . Just a matter of time for everything to scatter

“One of the swiftest ways of destroying a kingdom is to give preference of one particular tribe over another or show favor to one group of people rather than another. And to draw near those who should be kept away and keep away those who should be drawn near”

Whenever there is no justice, there won't be peace for the Government. After the Yoruba man was killed, people reported to the police, but because they are Buhari's brothers, the police shielded them. Now people have decided to help themselves.

You blame should go to the govt and the security agencies who will always shield these criminals from being prosecuted.

Fake news. Where are the corpses?

It is possible there are up to 20 dead...I personally saw one dead body in the onion market part of Sasa yesterday. It was swollen, with flies buzzing over it...I would say the person was killed since Friday for it to be in that stage of decomposition.

Nairaland should have a way of removing stupid comments. Most of the people here making comments don't know whats actually going on. They don't even reside in ibadan. Whatever is happening, let's sue for peace. Stop encouraging tribal/ethnic war. You are all online making silly comments. Plz let's be careful

Ethnic Cleansing against Hausa Community......

I washed a video where a young Hausa lady who posed as an eye witness said that it was the Yoruba man who first slapped the Hausa-Fulani Man and the said Hausa-Fulani retaliated by slapping him back and the Yoruba fainted from the slap given to him by the said Hausa-Fulani Man..

You knew quite well that you don't have strength and cannot fight and won't withstand retaliation either but have the audacity to lift your hands against another able bodied man.....

Blame it on the unfortunate uncircumcised unruly and violent Hausa Pig that beat up a pregnant Yoruba shop owner and killed a Yoruba man that came to settle the matter

Blame it on Sarki Sasi the idiot that refused to release the Murderer to Amotekun security opreatives for prosecution because he feels above the law

.

This is the ONLY eye witness account I have heard from someone present during the fight, I am still looking for someone to corroborate the account because I keep asking people what actually caused the fight. I was at shasha in Dec and the peace I witnessed between Hausa and Yoruba people was second to non.

You live in a unique country with many tribes.
None of the indigenes ever agreed to form the nation.
They were forced together under colonialism. They didn't even fight for independence.
The system of rulership was just handed down to a few politicians and the rest of the people cannot agree on anything.
Should we continue with the synthetic nation, or should we return to how we were before colonialism.
It is a landmine that can easily explode. So tread carefully. Do not anger anyone
Rwanda has just 2 tribes. Hutu and Tutsi.
The Belgian colonist always showed favouritism to one tribe over the other because that tribe have long nose, fine face ..
while the other tribe have flat head and big ogo.
As a result, both tribes realised what was going on and that lead to the 1995 genocide.
1,000,000 (one million) of them killed each other just because of this. (Ehe? You think say you fine pass me)
Babies were abandoned among dead bodies of their parents.
Today, those babies are 25+ years old. They form the majority of the population.
A population of 25year olds, no father, no mother. No relatives.
They don't have elders again and they don't know their village or tribe.
Everybody just speaks English. Tribe and language is not discussed in that country.
And that is how the country is now doing well.

The Fulani will not be allowed to change the narrative to appeal to pity as if they are the victim in the matter all things considered. Again and again the Fulani kill, maim, rape and destroy the farmlands of their host communities and have refused to buy and or lease land to ranch their cattle. Cattle rustling is best tackled by ranching. They trespass on land belonging to others grazing cattle thereon pretending to not know that it is a wrong thing do! They will go no further in their expansionist and hegemonic quest.

I live 5 minutes from the market...I walk there every evening to buy fruits and to sometimes charge my phone. The boy I charge my phone with is a Hausa guy...he owns a small shop there, and from the way he speaks fluent Yoruba, I would say he was born there. Those guys have been there for decades now and their kids have integrated with the indigenes. It's so sad this had to happen.

And about what really happened, I really don't know...I have heard 10 different versions of the story, I don't even know who to believe. I wish I could see that boy and get his own version of the story. What people don't know is that Hausa shops were burnt (hundreds of baskets of Onions wasted), and Yoruba shops were burnt too. Who started the burning? Who started the fight? That is what I really want to know.

I thought one fool said the whole Nigeria belongs to Hausa/Fulani ! If you are going to start any madness in Yoruba land, never ever in your life start in Oyo state. Read about the Oyo military and how they dealt with Usman Danfodio.

Just because Yorubas are accommodating and lovely doesn't mean we are stupid. If you do any how, you go see anyhow. If Yoruba youths are given free hand or unleashed by their leaders, Hausa/Fulani go run. You can't come from your own land decide to oppress other people in their own domain.

Oyo people no dey hear word, na go dey hear, Dem no dey hear come.

help me tell dem o......you don't wanna pick a fight with Oyo people......dem brutal gan ooo.......most of the children commenting rubbish on nairaland.....calling yoruba all sorta names......the oyo and ogun states are warriors.......but some online warriors from roforofo region will be making mouth online.......

No! That's appeal to pity seeking to change the narrative to favour the Fulani who are notorious for sneaking in on indigenous landowners and seizing control of the administrative space. It is a well documented fact of history. Jos North, Kaduna, Middle Belt and Ilorin are just a few instances of places they "conquered" using subtle tactics. Buhari went to Lam years back on this matter to discuss the matter but now that he is in power it is hoped that he will not take steps that will land him before the ICC and ultimately in jail if found guilty of crimes against humanity he has condoned for years now when he pretends to not know the horrific atrocities the Fulani had been perpetrating NSEW of Nigeria.
